Raven - bra and panty set discontinued by Male Power - review by Breas

The Raven Bra and Panty Set by Male Power is available in sizes S/M, L/XL, and Plus Size. I purchased the size L/XL. The outfit arrived in a rectangular cardboard box. The front of the box has the word “Lust” on it with a photo of a model wearing the outfit. The back of the packaging states the product name, a brief product description, material composition, and care instructions. It also has a photo of a back view of the model wearing the outfit. The box is attractive to the eye but I don’t consider it ideal for storing the outfit when not worn. The packaging can be recycled.



Inside of the box, the outfit is folded neatly in a plastic bag. There are 3 pieces to this set: the bra, the skirt, and a g-string. When I had first seen the stock photo of the outfit (before purchasing it), I had assumed it had a similar wet-look to the skirt I reviewed. When I opened the packaging, I realized that this outfit was nothing like it. It’s still lovely looking, but I just expected a bit more of a shiny/wet look to it. The outfit is 85% polyester and 15% spandex as stated on the outfit tag. However, the packaging states that the outfit is nylon and spandex. The material has a lot of stretch to it.

Waistband unstretched: 16 ½ inches

I really love the appearance of the outfit. It screams, “rebel” to me. The waistband of the skirt is a thicker band of material than the rest of the skirt. The band is approximately 7/8 of an inch in length. This band has silver studs along it. The studs are approximately 1 ¾ inches apart from each other and have a diameter of just under ½ of an inch. The studs go around the entire top of the skirt. At the front of the skirt, there are two silver zippers. The zippers are 7 ½ inches apart. They zip from the bottom of the skirt up to right beneath the waistband.



The bra does not have any padding or underwire. The halter style bra does up behind the neck with Velcro, and behind your back with a plastic clasp. There are studs that run along the top of the cups, sides of the cups, up the neck ties, and along the bottom of the bra. The studs that are along the bottom of the bra do not go all the way around the back. The plastic clasp closure at the back of the bra is not adjustable, though the band has quite a bit of stretch if you need more width. The Velcro piece to the halter ties (the ones that sit behind your neck) is about 2 inches long so there is a bit of room for adjustment.



The included g-string matches the rest of the outfit. It’s black in colour with silver studs on the front material. The g-string has 10 studs on it. I really like that they added the studs to the g-string because often times a company will just throw a regular black g-string in with an outfit. The g-string has a lining in it (see measurements above).

When I tried the outfit on, I was really pleased with the way it looked on me. I felt like such a bad ass! I was able to fit comfortably into the outfit because of the stretch that it has. The skirt covered most of my bum (which I like), and the g-string fit well. The bra fit me but I did have a couple of issues with it. Firstly, the length of the cups (see measurements above) is a bit too short in my opinion. My C cups were covered but I would have liked a bit more length.

Another issue I had with the bra is how it is halter style with Velcro. I would have preferred long strings to tie behind my neck because I feel like the halter ties were not long enough. When I wore the bra, I was able to do the Velcro up fine but with my boobs weighing the top down, it pulled on the straps making it slightly uncomfortable at the back of my neck.

The last issue with the bra is that the straps that clasp behind the back is not adjustable. The width can be adjusted by stretching these bands but I would have liked the back to be hook and eye closure instead. I needed to stretch the band a bit for the bra to fit me. This resulted in the band cutting into some of my back fat. It wasn’t uncomfortable, but it just didn’t look as lovely as I would have liked it to.

Other than those few issues with the bra, the material is comfortable and I have no issues of skin irritation while wearing the outfit. The care tag states that the outfit can be machine washed on cold, and hung to dry. The outfit should also not be bleached. On the box that the outfit came in, it says that it can be tumble-dried on low heat but since the care tag states otherwise, Id recommend just letting the outfit hang to dry.

Overall, I’m happy with the outfit. I’ve deducted one star from the rating for the few issues I had with the bra. I will definitely be getting a lot of use out of this outfit and I’m considering purchasing another similar outfit by this brand. I love how bad ass I look in this outfit and my partner really enjoys it too.
