Lace panel chemise & g-string black - chemise and panty set by Fantasy Lingerie - review by ViVix

First off, I'd like to say that I am always, always, always skeptical about ordering lingerie online. There's just something about not being able to try it on before you buy it. This is especially true since I haven't returned anything within the last five years at least. That being said, prepare to have your socks blown off!

Fantasy Lingerie's lace panel chemise is one of my favorite pieces of lingerie that I've ever had, and I haven't worn ANY lingerie since the birth of my daughter two years ago. For starters, the fabric feels silky, and the lace panel isn't rough or irritable against my skin. Both the chemise and the g-string are 100% polyester, so it's strong, machine washable, dries quickly, and doesn't wrinkle, stretch, or shrink.

I have some baby-weight that I never lost on my stomach, my boobs are a little less perky than they once were, my love handles have love handles, and my thighs are a little big. That being said, I felt super sexy in this lingerie. The back even made my butt seem a little lifted. I bought it in size large. I'm right between a C and D cup bust-wise, and I often wear size 10 or 12 in clothing. I had no problem fitting into the large, but I'd probably recommend a larger size for anyone bigger.

This does come in plus sizes, so yay! There is no underwire, so if you want to wear it under your clothes, you may be out of luck. This set also comes in white and red, though there were no pictures when I looked!

Fantasy Lingerie sizing for the Large is as follows:
Size: 14-16
Bust: 39-41
Waist: 30 1/2 to 32 1/2
Hip: 42 1/2 to 44 1/2

I personally do not believe this would have fit someone larger than a size 12 without being kind of tight.

Both the tag for the chemise and the g-string say "Machine wash-warm, gentle wash darks, tumble dry low, and do not twist or wring."

I have two complaints:
1. The material is easy to snag, so even though you won't be wearing this out from use, if your man has rough fingers (my boyfriend at the time I bought this was a mechanic), there could be some minor snagging.
2. The g-string is not particularly flattering. I feel like the front is oddly shaped, and it seemed larger than what would match with the chemise's sizing.

The only reason I am giving this item 4 stars is because of the g-string. If I rated the chemise alone, I would give it a 5 star rating.


The packaging: The chemise and g-string came in what looked like a clear plastic garbage bag, no hangers or anything else really. The packaging was not really reusable or pretty.

As you can tell in the picture, the material becomes pretty see-through right about where my nipples are, so there was some aligning of the fabric in order for me to avoid nip slips. I'm also right between a C-cup and a D-cup in breast size and still feel comfortable with the cut of this. I do wish I had taken a picture that showed more of my stomach area. I have a little bit of a pooch from when I was pregnant with my daughter, and you can't even notice it in this.

P.S. I accept no fault if you go blind from looking at my reflective white skin. =D

I still love this chemise, though the g-string has made its way to the trash. The chemise looks sexy with other full-coverage underwear (as long as they aren't cotton, which tends to stick to the fabric) and I feel much more comfortable. I still have to rearrange my boobs as to not show nipple at times, but I didn't buy this item to wear it for long periods of time. This is also why I don't mind that there isn't breast support. I'd buy this all over again! Well worth the price.
