Pink license to thrill bustier - bustier discontinued by Seven 'til Midnight - review by winterseve

I LOVE this bustier. I can't wear it enough. It's so comfortable that I'm wearing it now as I write. Silly, but true. My husband actually picked out this for me to review. I gave him a list of items I liked and he chose this bustier. I had picked it in black (for slimming) but he wanted the hot pink. I was skeptical about ordering it because I feel like a football player in bathing suits and lingerie because I'm so boxy up top. The License to Kill Bustier made me feel like a SEXY football player, okay maybe just sexy. This time I humored him and ordered the pink. Now I have to mention that I hate pink usually. But this hot pink is sexy. Even I like it. The black bows and trim make it a little edgy and not so fu-fu. Unlike some of the other items I've gotten with bows, these are attached securely. The mesh edging and ruffles are adorable and add flair. The one layer in the back is sewn up along the hook/eye portions, which is a slight flaw. The bustier came with a thin cardboard insert in the front of it with a picture of the piece on a model. This was inside a think plastic envelope like other lingerie comes packaged.

I ordered a 1x/2x size based on my measurements and reviews on similar products from other contributors. According to Seven 'til Midnight's website the measurements for a 1x/2x are:
Size 16/18, Cup Size C or D, Bust 40-46", Waist 34-38", Hips 42-48"
As of today (now no laughing, y'all) my measurements are:
Size 14/16 depending on the style/manufacturer (was a 10/12 a month ago when I ordered it), DD cup (full DD), Bust 40"(at bra base) 48" (across breasts), Waist 38", Hips 41 1/2"

I currently weigh 181, and when I ordered it I weighed 176. I wear it on the tightest hooks comfortably. The corset is very forgiving in person. The boning is plastic and not very rigid. While it provides structure, it does not hold you in or give support. Because it is not a rigid boning the back can buckle/crease as you see in the picture. I have DD breasts and they easily fit into this bustier. There are no cups so to say so it works well for me. For extra oomph it can be worn with a strapless bra. To wear this bustier for going out I'm going to wear a strapless bra under it for extra support and shape. If there were straps that could be taken on and off I'd feel better about wearing it out at night. There are no garters attached, but I may sew some on myself. I bought the black lace top fishnets to wear with this bustier. Because they aren't a stay up, I think the removable garters would be a good idea for me.







The Bustier measures 34 1/2" across when laid flat and open. When closed on the tightest hooks the corset measures 16" across. From top to bottom (not including ruffles, but actual structure) the corset is 15", which is a bit long for most short women (I'm 5' 3 1/2"), but I like it because it gives me more confidence by covering my belly. For a short torso, such as mine, I'd call it a full coverage bustier. For a more "normal" height woman or tall women I'd say it fits like other bustiers or corsets, leaving the hips exposed and maybe even a bit of belly. The hooks are very easy to open one handed without looking. My husband and I both put them to the test. I think it took me about as much time, using my less dominant hand, as it would for me to undo a normal bra.

I put this on and fell in love. First I modeled it for myself in front of the mirror, then I decided to see what my husband thought. He actually stared and dropped his jaw, and then just smiled. His first comment was "let me just finish this quick" (he was working). Shortly after he popped into the bedroom and let me know just what he thought about how I looked. I've worn this a couple times for him and he loves it. Sometimes I'll just sit around in it myself. This bustier makes me feel sexy and confident, and since it's so comfy I wear it whenever I need a boost in ego. I plan to wear it as long as I can without stretching it out with a baby belly. Despite my little issues with the bustier, I love it and plan to get it in black. I'm so excited my husband's choice actually worked out!

OMG I still really love this piece. My belly is now too big to fit but it's all washed and waiting for me after I deliver my little one. I can't wait to get back into it. It's so comfortable and cute I lust after it still while I can't wear it. This would be a great addition to any collection.
