First Impressions

The minute I saw the Black Magic Keyhole Crop Bralette & Boy Shorts Set, I knew I needed to get it. I loved the combination of the fishnet and wet-looking materials that gave this outfit a sexy, kickass look!



The set arrived in a box, complete with pictures in vivid color, which was a nice change from the normal, plastic-bag only lingerie packaging. The garment was tucked away in a re-sealable plastic bag, which I quickly ripped away to get at the contents.




Material

The first thing I noticed upon holding the garment for the first time was the peculiar feel of the shiny material. I expected the wet-looking material to feel like tacky rubber or a crunchy trash bag. However, the material is soft and does not make a sound when you scrunch it. Looking at the material, it reminds me of patent leather, very shiny! The wet-looking fabric is paper thin and stretches in a strange way. I can stretch the material laterally (from side to side) but not vertically (top to bottom). Unlike typical fishnet material that starts compact and stretches exponentially, this mesh fabric came pre-stretched and did not yield much when I attempted to stretch it further.

Material: 60% Polyester, 40% Spandex
Care instructions: Machine wash cold. No bleach. Dry flat.
I find that hand-washing this garment and hanging dry works well!




Keyhole Crop Bralette



I love the design of this outfit. I find that halter tops are typically very flattering on me. So, seeing the keyhole, halter neckline that tied around the neck made me very happy. The bra band is very thick, three whole inches wide! The back of the bra has a row of four hook-and-eye clasps to hold the bra together, with three different size options.



However, when I tried on the garment, I was met with disappointment. The top was simply too big for me, in both band and cup size. I wanted to like the garment, but I felt silly even showing my S.O. because I felt like I was swimming in fabric! The cups have darts (seams that run from the band to the middle of the cup) that make the cups pointy. I felt a bit like Madonna, with her cone-breasted corset!



To make this bra fit, I folded over the fabric in the front of the bra. When I measured how much fabric I had tucked in to provide the better fit, I measured five inches! I pinned the folded fabric in place and was pleased with the result. Perhaps, I will end up permanently altering this garment soon since I do like the design so much!


Boy Shorts



The shorts match the design of the bra top. I love the idea of the fishnet material framing the butt; however, the reality was not so lovely. Holding the panties for the first time made me cringe a bit. The waistband uses a ½” wide strip of elastic. The way the wet-like fabric is scrunched around the elastic reminds me of hair scrunchies I wore as a child. When I tried them on, I found both the waistband and the elastic around the legs squeezed me in a very un-flattering way.



The only part I appreciated about these panties was the comfortable gusset. The inside of the wet-looking material feels like the fabric used to make wind-breakers. However, amidst the expanse of uncomfortable fabric and seams, there was a soft, cotton gusset! I can tell you right now, my vagina was extremely happy to see this addition to the panties! When my pussy is consistently rubbing against rough seams or coarse material, it gets irritated easily. I wish more of my lingerie included this feature!




Size

Overall, I was very confused about the size for this item. I consider myself a well-proportioned person. However, with panties that were too tight and a bra that was five inches too large, this garment made me feel like my body proportions were all wrong. In the pictures of me wearing this bra, I am wearing a push-up bra that gives me an extra cup size (from my regular 34B/32C size). Even with the push-up bra, the top was still too large! Per the size chart for Magic Silk lingerie, my measurements are consistent with the small/medium size, so I’m not sure why the fit is so off.

This garment could be worn both in the bedroom or at a sex club. When this garment fits correctly, it should cover all of the essential bits, while still providing a seductive picture for your significant other!
