The Angelica Apron Style Garter Belt is made by Dreamgirl and comes in One Size Fits Most. This garter belt would fit most women between 90-160 pounds. The first time my wife tried this on, she noted it could be tight or not fit for women who wear a dress size 14 or higher. (For reference she is a size 10 and while it wasn't snug, it was a bit tight.)

The Garter Belt arrives in a clear plastic bag on a black plastic hanger. One could certainly keep the hanger for storage, but as we prefer to keep my wife's garter belts in a drawer, we didn't save the hanger. The packaging is pretty standard and not detrimental.

The look of this garter belt is cute, very cute. We were both very excited for this item to arrive and review it. When you first take it out of the packaging, it looks very sexy and cute. The sheer apron in the front has polka dots and the garter straps each have a cute little bow at the end, just above the actual garter. The garter belt is held together by a hook closure, much like your typical bra.

My wife's first reaction when trying this on? "It's cute," she said. She has worn this on several occasions and each occasion begins with high hopes and doesn't end quite as well. The garter straps are very easy to lengthen or shorten based on what you need. The garters hold well to any stockings that you should attach to them, but are difficult to actually attach. The bottom of the garter is made from silicone, unlike most garter belts where the bottom of the garter is usually metal or the same material as the upper part. Twice my wife required my help in actually getting the garters on the backside of the legs to attach. But once the garters are actually attached, the stockings stay in place very well.

If you are wearing a loose-fitting skirt or dress over this garter belt, you will have no problems with wearing it in public. A tight fitting outfit might cause problems because of the apron-style appearance of the garter belt, and the satin-type bows on the end of the garter straps. These could be seen if one was wearing a form-fitting skirt or dress I suspect, though we did not test that aspect.

The main problem we have with this garter belt occurs with prolonged use/wear. The edges of the straps near the bows are very scratchy. My wife became very uncomfortable while wearing this garter belt for more than 20 minutes or so. When she sat in a chair or was lying down with this on, she felt the back straps especially causing her irritation. When I asked her to describe it further, she said, "It just feels irritating, like sandpaper.". We tried to adjust the straps to different lengths and with different stockings to see if that changed the irritating feeling, but the irritating feeling remained.

This garter belt looks great on, and should be very sexy and cute. But between the difficulty in putting on the garter belt and the irritating feeling one gets while wearing it, it just doesn't live up to its appearance. We wanted to like this piece a lot, but found it's only okay. If you can make the straps more comfortable and not as scratchy/irritating, then this could be a piece that you would love.

Both my wife and I were very excited about this garter belt arriving, and from the initial review you can see our disappointment. She has tried wearing this twice more and found the scratchy fabric to be totally distracting, and neither of us think it will be worn anymore. It looks so cute - it's a shame that it's not as comfortable as it is cute.
