Zipper accented top and skirt - tee discontinued by Espiral - review by Beck

What is it?
Espiral lingerie presents the zipper accented top and skirt set. The set is not something you are going to want to wear many places, due to the length of the skirt, it would be appropriate for places like the beach, swingers clubs, and in your bedroom. I say the beach because it would be great to pair it with a bathing suit. At a swinger’s club almost any clothing would be appropriate and most would appreciate the view. Then in your bedroom anything goes.

Material
Both the skirt and top are made of 93% polyester and 7%Spandex, which is a lot like bathing suit material, it has the shiny look, has amazing stretching capabilities, and is silky to the touch. They both also have zippers on the material, which are made of plastic, but have a shiny paint on them, that easily chips and they are functional. The piece that slides on the zipper and the tear drop shaped charm that dangles are made of a shiny metal. The zipper is attached by a silver woven rough material that sparkles.

The set can be purchased in sizes S-XL and in white or black. The measurements below are for a XL.

Design

The top is has the Wilma Flintstone look to it; this is what my husband calls it; but what it means is that there is only one strap over the shoulder, with the seam located at the collar bone. This shoulder strap can be adjusted for those of us with a stockier build, by the zipper. Unzipping the zipper to the need amount give room for those who need more arm room. The zipper starts at the arm hole and goes to about middle of the breast, better known as cleavage, which the zipper is 8.5”long. This zipper starts off with ½” of the woven material that the zipper is attached to, and then turns in to the teeth of the zipper. This top is designed to cut off under the breast, similar to a sports bra. The total amount of material you have for length in the front is 6.5” from the top of the breast to under it on both right and left sides, but at the seam on the right there is about 1” of extra material. This top will not provide support, you may want to think about a strapless bra and I found these for a little something extra. The back of the top is seamless and short only covering one shoulder down with less than 10”, then the other side has a complete open shoulder with 5”of coverage. The tag is locates inside the top on the strapless one, at the seam. The inside where the zipper is you can see this silver woven material and combined with the zipper is 1 ¼” long.

The skirt is what I call a micro mini, there is only 9.5”material in the front, but the zipper side loses about an inch. The back of the skirt is only 10”long total, so this is really short. There are seams located on the side of this skirt, there is no elastic waistband. The zipper is located on the right side about 1.5” down and it is 8.5” long. The zipper has the same silver woven material inside and the same gap to start the teeth. The zipper starts at the seam but has this gap and it causes this whole to be open. The tag is located inside on the right at the seam.

Washing
This material should be hand washed only; machine washing could damage the material. You will want to hang dry this also, but for storage your underwear draw will do just fine.

Packaging
This comes packaged in a plastic bag, with a paper insert. It is not discreet since there are many of Espiral’s models pictured wearing lingerie, so you should wrap if gifting.

Sizing
The top did not fit me; the issue is my 40DDD breast. I can put it on, but the length is too short, it cuts off about half way on my breast. The zipper does lie flat, but the zipper is sharp and will cut into the arm pit area. This is because there is no added material to prevent this from happening. The top is only going to work well for those who are DD and smaller. There is enough room for stretching, so someone who measure 48”around could still wear this top, but only if they did not have large breast, otherwise they will have the same issue I did. **A suggestion just purchases a better top, I was recently at Wal-Mart and the summer clothes were on sale. So for $3.00 I got a matching shirt. I included a picture of it as well.

The skirt is really short if you have a round behind; chances are this is not going to cover it all. There is only about 10” of fabric to work with, which my ass is about 9”long so this barely covers it. I have a 40”waist and this fits my waist just fine, but it can be stretched 50”, so you could wear it as long as you do not mind super short.

I have gifted this out to a friend, since it just didn't fit me well. If you do order this try the top as the bottom and the bottom as the top, but I personally wouldn't purchase this again.
