Stretch lace apron babydoll - babydoll and panties set by DreamGirl - review by ~LaUr3n~

My boyfriend and I recently moved in together. I love to wear lingerie around the apartment, but sometimes I want to wear things that don't SCREAM "sex now!". This cute semi-maid style baby doll is cute, yet sexy, but doesn't require a dominatrix persona. I thought it would be cute to be wearing while my boyfriend walked in on me cooking him his favorite meals.

This piece from Dream Girl is a lace, apron, under-wire, babydoll in a non-traditional sense. It has a tie back that is open except for a bow and bra back. It comes with a matching g-string thong.

*Material:

The babydoll is made of a 88% Nylon and 12% spandex lace. The lace has a gorgeous flower pattern. The bows are satin and so is the apron top trim which ties in the back. Some of the side trim is more of a mesh material. The lace is very strong, but isn't scratchy or uncomfortable in any way. It is fairly soft and slightly stretchy without compromising for shape. The g-string is also made of a 88% nylon and 12& spandex material that feels like cheap satin.

*Design/craftsmanship:

Okay, lets start from the top. The bra has a heavy underwire cup and traditional bra back closure (eye and hook) except there are two size options instead of three. The cup has a pink ruffled top trim which adds extra cuteness. In the center of the bra, between the cups, is a pink satin bow, contrasting the white material. The pink bra straps are adjustable.

Attached to the bra, front and center, is a middle piece that is about 8" long and 5" wide (on the large size). The sides have the same pink ruffled mesh trim. This part of the babydoll runs down the middle of the tummy ending around the belly button.

Then is the attached apron. The very long satin ribbon wraps across the bottom of the waist and around the back to tie just above the butt. There is plenty of ribbon, so you can tie a super pretty bow. The apron is partial, leaving the rear mostly exposed. It is long enough that it comes to upper mid thigh. There are two mini pockets in the front of the apron that are functional. They are a solid white and have a solid pink trim and small bows. At the bottom of the apron is a 1 inch band of additional thicker lace. And below this are two layers of white mesh frills, with thin pink trim. So from the front this looks like a cut out baby doll, but from the back it looks like a bra and wrap around, but open butt skirt.

The g-string is simple. The only unique part is that it has a smaller than average crotch and back piece. The side strings are stretchy spandex. The g-string can be seen through the front of the apron. There are two long hanging ribbons connected to the inside of the apron. These can be cut off before being worn.

*Cleaning/care/storage:

Caring for this outfit takes delicate hands because of the large amount of lace. The white material means that you have to also watch what you sit on, lay on, etc because it can easily get dirty. The lace cannot be bleached.

To clean, hand wash in cold water and then hang to dry. You can spot clean, but don't use an abrasive soap. The ribbons may get a bit wrinkled but you can take an iron to them on low heat. Do not attempt to iron the lace. You may notice a small amount of material distortion. The g-strong can be ran through the washer and dryer on cool water, and low tumble.

If you do not remove the hang ties from the apron, you can use them on a hanger, along with the bra straps to hang the babydoll in a closet. Try to store in a cool and dry place.

*Sizing:

I got a large. It fit nicely, with little issues. I weigh ~150 pounds (size 8/10); curvy but fit. The chart says it fits size 10-14, C-D breasts (although the tag says A-D), 36-38" band, 28-32" waist (not relevant since the waist is open), 38-40" hips, 140-150 lbs. I think it will accommodate much larger with the exception of the breasts.

Starting back at the top, the bra band fit my 34-36" size just fine. At 38" it might start to dig in. I wore it on the larger clasp, but felt fine on the smaller one too. My size D breasts fit into the cups without overflow, but felt a bit refined. The lace made them a less round shape and slightly pointy. You can see nipples through the lace. Even if you have fake breasts, I don't think this will fit anything larger than me in that area. I also don't think that size A breasts will look good. The cups are slightly shaped so a small C would fill them, but smaller might make the cup look baggie. The underwire offers a lot of support and I felt comfortable in the top.

The middle part laid nicely against my stomach. The waist size is irrelevant since the sides and back are cut out. So really...you could wear this even if you are pregnant. The satin ribbon that ties will accommodate very large hips if it needs to since the ribbon is so long (even 50"). Mine are about 38" and the apron wrapped around me about 60% leaving my butt exposed as it should.
The g-string also fit my 38" hips nicely without digging in. I think this would be true up to 40" matching the sizing chart.

The chart is a great guideline, but if you have small breasts and band size but large hips, you can go down a size size. If the thong doesn't fit use your own, or go without! If you are tall, this may not be true if you want the apron to meet your thigh where it met mine-going with the chart as is would be best.

Boyfriend's thoughts:

He loved the open back. He also mentioned loving the lace and frills, especially around the breasts and liked the little pockets. I loved them too except I really wish they were a little further apart. I'd go to put my fingers in them and miss every time.

*Conclusion:

This babydoll set is super cute and comfortable. The sizing is pretty great and the bust actually has support where it claims to! If you are VERY endowed in the bust department (larger than a full D), you may not want this since the cups are kind of small. The ribbon tie closure around the hips makes it comfy for any curves. Washing isn't the most convenient and neither is the stark white color, but your partner will love the domestic naughtiness of this getup! I did too. I am giving this 5 stars. I feel sexy in it and there isn't any sizing issue for me. It is well made and I didn't find any imperfections.

P.S. I think it is good for anal since nothing needs to be taken off or moved around if you went commando!

This is one smoking outfit. I love pairing it with different things to make it a bit different. Adding black panties and a black bra with that see through look make it look a bit more kinky. But I bought some crotch less panties that matched perfectly! The review for those are here...lace up booties. It has held up really well, and I don't see any wear. The lace hasn't been ripped even though I have thought I had a few close calls on ruining it.

If you hand wash this, you may find that you need to iron the ribbons because depending on how you dry this, they will crimp in weird places. I'm somewhat of a perfectionist and in order to make the perfect bow in the back, the ribbons had to be smooth ;)
