Vertical striped tights - hosiery by Music legs - review by Breas

The Vertical Striped Tights by Music Legs is available in the colours grey or black and in one-size-fits-most only. I wear a size XL but I usually don’t have a problem when it comes to OSFM tights. I purchased the grey coloured tights.

The stockings arrived in a plastic package surrounded by cardboard. The front of the package has a photo of a model wearing the pantyhose and states the company name. The back of the packaging states the product name, weight/height brackets for the OSFM, and the material composition. The packaging is not ideal for storage. I keep my stockings in my sock drawer.



The tights are 75% polyester and 25% nylon. They are stretchy in both width and length. Below are a few measurements of the stocking laying flat both stretched and unstretched. If you need additional measurements, please send me a message and I will get them for you.

Waistband unstretched: 9 inches
Waistband stretched as much as I could: 21 ½ inches
Length of stockings unstretched: 40 inches
Length of stockings stretched: well over 60 inches

The waistband is a thick, double layer of material. The waistband is 1 ¼ inches in length. The stockings beneath the waistband are a solid grey colour. The solid coloured area is 9 ¾ inches in length when the stockings are not stretched. The rest of the stockings have a vertical lined pattern.

The solid coloured area at the top of the tights do become sheerer the more they are stretched. The vertical lined pattern looks black and grey when the stockings are unstretched. The more the stockings are stretched in width, the whiter the grey area appears to be.



The toe areas are not reinforced but the stockings are quite thick and durable. There is no lining in the crotch area of the pantyhose. Since the pantyhose are not crotchless, I don’t consider them ideal for bedroom wear, though they could be used in the bedroom if you wanted to. I purchased the stockings to wear beneath a skirt while out in public.

The packaging states that the OSFM is best suited for those between the weights of 100-175lbs. I’m within this range but on the higher end of the scale. The suggested height range for the tights is 5’-5’10”. I am 5’6 in height. So as far as the packaging is concerned, I should fit into the tights fine.

When I went to try the pantyhose on, I was happy with how durable the material was. This isn’t pantyhose that is going to snag easily. They’re durable and soft. The tights are very stretchy and were able to stretch to fit my quite thick thighs. I was happy with the tights until they reached the upper area of my thighs.

Below are a couple photos of myself wearing the stockings. If you take a look at the up close stock photo on the product page, you'll notice that the white vertical lines running down the stocking are very thin, with the black vertical lines being much thicker. When I had worn the pantyhose, you can see that the white vertical lines were just as thick as opposite coloured vertical lines. This means the more you stretch the stockings in width, the less it will look like the up close stock photo.



Once I had the tights pulled up to near the top of my thighs, I realized that the crotch area of the tights was sitting much lower than it should. I pulled the stockings over my bum and I’m sad to report that they just don’t fit me in length. I’m too tall for these stockings.

When I stretched the tights as much as I possibly could, the top back of the stockings sat just below my bum crack. I’ve worn stockings out that were too short for me before just because I liked the pattern. That was the worst idea ever because as I was dancing, the stockings ripped open. It was like a “Hulk” moment. These stockings would be best suited for those who are a few inches shorter than me or below.

Other than the stockings being too short for me, the material was comfortable and soft against my skin. I didn’t wear the stockings for long since they didn’t fit me in length but I didn’t experience any skin irritation while wearing them. There is no care tag to the stockings so it would probably be best to hand wash the stockings in cold water and let them line dry. Alternatively, you could throw them in a lingerie bag in the washing machine on cold.

Overall, these stockings clearly didn’t work for me. It’s sad because I was really looking forward to wearing them out. The stockings are durable and would be great for those who are much shorter than me. I’ve given the stockings a 3 out of 5 because the suggested sizing brackets that had given were completely false. The company states that they should fit someone up to 5’10” in height, but I’m 5’6” and they won’t cover my entire bum crack.

They aren't bad tights but they just don't fit me. It's disappointing when I purchase tights, like the style of them, but they're too short for me. That was the case with the Vertical Striped Tights.
