Mini dress discontinued

Not into the drapey look

After having this dress for a while, I can't even remember why I got it. The cowl is too deep and is not flattering for me and it can't be tied any tighter to bring it up. Unless you have a nice chest (think JWoww) or are comfortable being free all the way, I would not recommend this dress.

This dress is a front cowl dress with halter straps that have O-rings connected to them. The straps criss-cross at the back. The bottom is a straight cut mini skirt. It is one size fits most and is really stretchy.

I liked that this dress had the O-rings connected to the straps because I already had a sexy dress with O-rings that ran down my back. But when I tried this on, this was not flattering at all. I knew that it was a front cowl dress but I thought it would benefit my chest. If anything, it only exaggerated how bad they looked. The straps aren't tied at the top of the neck, they are already connected to the sides of the dress, so I couldn't pull them tighter and raise the cowl up. I untied the straps from the side to figure out how to tie them tighter. Nothing worked out so I ended up cutting them a bit and then using the shortened straps with the dress. I also didn't like how the straps crossed. It just didn't look nice.

There is zero support and there aren't underwires in this dress. I thought if I wore pasties I might be able to wear this out without looking ridiculous. Even with tiny pasties, the plunge of this dress plunges too deep and revealing. It doesn't even cover the pasties so you can still see them in plain sight.

This dress hugs to your body so I can't complain about that. I find that the back is extremely flattering for my butt. On the model, it looks like a mini skirt but it sits just above my knee.

The dress feels smooth and light, not in a silky way though. I think the rings are heavier than the dress overall. I know that some people have found that the white version of this dress is sheer, but I don't find that this one has a sheerness problem.

The dress is made of polyester and spandex. Polyester has low absorbency and is combustible. I would definitely recommend avoiding high heat (dryers, ironing, etc.) with this dress. The spandex allows this dress to be extremely stretchable. As with polyester, avoid high temperatures and wash in tepid water. I hand wash this dress and air-dry it.

Overall, this dress is not flattering for me and I would not get it again if I had to. There are little benefits I find other than the bottom being form-fitting.
Follow-up commentary
This is still lying somewhere in my closet because I haven't figured out how to wear this dress in a way that is flattering. My boobs haven't grown, so I don't see myself wearing this anytime soon.

Aw what a bummer! Thanks for going into detail about this and the problems you experienced with it. I see it while shopping every so often and think.. hmm.. maybe I should get it, but I won't. Thanks for the warning about the front! You could wear a black cami underneath or a black bandeau style bra or maybe altering the cut with a sewing machine may help... Wow, I guess it wouldn't even be worth buying if doing all that work to make it fit right is necessary. I'll just pass on this one. Thanks so much for sharing.

@kendra30752 I'm pretty flat chested to begin with so it was a big mistake to get this dress. Yeah I'll get it properly altered soon. That's a good idea to wear a bandeau top, I didn't think of that!
