Lace silicone top thigh high - thigh highs discontinued by DreamGirl - review by mistressg

I decided to splurge on some new hosiery for myself, and since this had been on my wishlist I went for it. I have solid black tights and thigh highs, I have black backseam hosiery, but these have a seam to the back of the knee with a cute little bow on top - and I didn't have anything like that. Plus, these have a very pretty lace top and silicone strips behind the lace to help them stay up. No garters necessary!

I would like to say that first off, I am very happy that these have a reinforced toe! I automatically like my hosiery more if it has a reinforced toe. It makes it feel sturdier, and less like to tear at the toes. Definite plus. The fabric of the thigh highs wasn't as fragile or delicate as others I have had. I hate having to be careful when putting on and taking off my hosiery! These seem like they could tear or snag, since they are sheer, but that could happen with any thigh highs. With these, it isn't an immediate concern. I don't feel like I have to take extra precautions to keep my thigh highs intact, which is always a good thing.

As for the lace band around the top, it fits comfortably and doesn't cut in to my legs at all, which is always nice. The silicone strips on the inside are not uncomfortable, and do not snag or irritate my skin in any way, and I have sensitive skin. They seems to do their job well, since I walked around in them and they didn't slide down or bunch at all! So you don't need a garter or garter belt to wear with these! Personally, I just love the look of a garter belt, so I probably would still wear one with these just because of how sexy I think they look so I wear one any chance I can.



Back detail:


The backseam is very cute, and I like the little bow very much. It is not overwhelming or too cutesy, it is subtle but still a nice little touch that makes me smile. In fact, I might get these later for a friend of mine who just loves anything with bows.

I found no fault with these. The only thing I could see being a bad thing is that they don't have a plus size available for people who would want them but don't generally fit into one size thigh highs. If you do, then you wouldn't have a problem fitting into these. I don't have anything that would match the pink pair, but I've put them on my wishlist since I like this black pair enough.

I would say that I like these more, EXCEPT for the fact that they have a snag or two after wearing them twice at the most. I wore them to a party recently with a 1920s style fringe dress and everyone loved them! Then when I'd turn around they'd all start going on about the tiny bow and the seam and how adorable it is. These stocking were probably the most liked at the party! They looked great, and in all the pictured my legs looked AMAZING! I have rather long legs, but with these the shape and everything about them looked perfect in every picture. Also they went very nicely into the 1920s theme. I would post pictures of the event, but there are too many people/overlapping figures that would be difficult to edit out for their (and my) anonymity.

If these were less apt to get snags, I would absolutely love them. I might have to order another pair soon, just in case this pair gets a bad snag.
