Executive sweet bustier - bustier discontinued by Escante - review by Breas

The Executive Sweet Bustier with Hose by Escante is available in sizes S-L. I wear an XL but figured that I could always replace the lacing down the centre back of the piece if I needed to add more width. I purchased the size large.

The outfit arrived on a black plastic hanger and was covered with a long, frosted bag. There were no photos or text on the bag. There was a cardboard tag attached to the bustier that had a photo of a model wearing the outfit on it. The tag also stated the company name, product name, and size. The included hanger is good to use to store the outfit when it’s not being worn.



The bustier includes a matching thong and a pair of thigh highs. The bustier and thong are 97% cotton and 3% elastic. The thigh highs are 100% nylon. The material to the bustier has a very small amount of stretch to it. The top and bottom of the bustier is trimmed with elastic band so these areas can be stretched a bit more. The material is not sheer.

I’ve taken a few measurements of the outfit laying flat, not stretched. If you need additional measurements, please send me a message and I can get them for you. The measurements below were taken with the lacing down the centre back done up the way it had arrived. There was a gap between the lacing with a width of 3 ¼ inches.

The lacing down the centre back is laced with a black cord. It reminds me of a shoestring. There is also another closure to the bustier- a black metal zipper down the side of the piece. The bustier has 5 plastic boning pieces to it: 2 down the front, 2 in the back, and 1 on the side that doesn’t have the zipper closure.



The bustier is all black in colour with very thin, white pinstripes. There are 4 white buttons that run down the centre front of the piece. The buttons are approximately ½ of an inch in diameter and just over 3 inches away from the next. There is a little white bow that sits between the cups of the bustier. The cups have a thin layer of padding in them and they do have under wire.

The shoulder and garter straps to the bustier are not detachable though they are adjustable in length. All of the straps to the bustier are stretchy. There are 4 garters straps to the piece: 2 in the front and 2 in the back. The bottom of each garter strap has a plastic clip with a rubber backing. The bottom of the straps is covered with a white ribbon that is approximately 2 ¼ inches in length.

The included thong matches the bustier well. The thong has the same pinstripe pattern that the bustier has. The waistband is elastic so it can be stretched quite a bit. The thong is opaque and there is a short liner in the crotch.



The included stockings are black with no pattern. The stockings are very thin and sheer. They are labelled as OSFM but they are very stretchy in both width and length. The toe area of the stockings is reinforced. The top of the stocking is a double layer of material. It’s nice that they’ve included a pair of stockings but the stockings are cheap. The bustier would look much nicer with a quality pair of thigh highs.

So when I tried the bustier on, my partner wasn’t around to help me. It was easy enough to do on my own. Since I knew that I’d have to really loosen the lacing, I loosened it and then put it around my body to see if I could do the zipper up yet. If I weren’t able to, I would just loosen the lacing a bit more and repeat this process until I could squeeze myself into it.



I had to basically loosen the lacing completely, but at least I didn’t have to find a longer lace to replace the original one with.

I measured the gap at the lacing after I had taken it off and the gap was 5 inches wide. You’d be able to replace the lace with another one if you needed more width.

I wear a C cup and I found the cups to be a bit small. I’m not if it was the width of the cups but they didn’t fit me as nicely as they could have. I probably wouldn’t recommend these cups to someone who has a larger breast size than me. The one nice thing about the cups is that they are lightly padded so you don’t have to wear a bra or pasties to cover nipple outline.

I’m 5’6 in height. The length of the bustier was nice. It covered my belly completely, which is really important to me. The sides were a tad short, showing a bit of my hips. The little bit of hip that it did show wasn’t so bad for me. I’ve had pieces that are much shorter than this and expose my entire muffin top. Luckily, this doesn’t show much.

I was able to pull the included stockings up about 1/3 up my thigh. I only tried them on because they looked really short. Like I had mentioned, if you want to wear a pair of thigh-highs, I suggest getting a nicer pair. The colouring seems to be uneven to the stocking.

I found the bustier really comfortable! The cups were a bit small but the material itself is soft and non-irritating to the skin. I’d be comfortable wearing this bustier for extended periods of time without any problems. The quality of the piece is good as well. There was one loose thread to the piece but I cut it off.

The care tag states that the outfit can be machine washed in warm water on the gentle cycle, though you could always hand wash it if you prefer. The outfit should be line dried and not wrung or twisted. Only non-chlorinated bleach should be used when needed and if you iron it, it should be kept on low.

Overall, I’m really happy with the bustier! The cups are a bit small but manageable. I think I’m going to remove the garter straps with a seam ripper. The straps sit on the inside of the piece so they can be removed (permanently) easily. I think this would be a great piece to wear in public beneath a cardigan or similar piece since the bustier is opaque. I’d recommend it!
