Blue low back gown - gown discontinued by Fantasy Lingerie - review by dsumrow1

The blue low back gown by Fantasy Lingerie arrived to me on a hanger inside of a clear plastic bag. This set includes the gown and thong. It also comes in pink. My first thought when I saw the blue gown, was classy. The seams and shoulder straps on this gown have a silver thread in them which adds a gentle shimmer to its beauty. I had not noticed this on the website picture, so it was kind of a nice little surprise. I had been looking at this gown for awhile, debating on whether to give it a try or not. I finally did, but I think I personally should stay away from certain colors such as blues and purples. I'm more of a black and white kind of girl.

Now when they say "long gown", they mean long gown. I normally wear a size medium, but in this case, the gown was not available in medium, so I took a chance and ordered a size small. I am 5'7" tall, and the gown still drug on the floor on me. The gown was a bit longer in the back than in the front and drug about 3-4 inches on the ground in the back and about 2 inches in the front. Keep in mind I wear a 36 B on the top and don't have much of a behind either.

On the front, top, and breast area, there is a very lovely floral pattern. The floral pattern is done in a light green for the leaves and stems of the flower design, and a darker color of blue for the little flowers on it. The floral pattern goes around the front half of the gown. At the bottom of the floral pattern, there is an over lapping piece of lace that also has the same floral pattern on it. The same color of blue used on the flowers also outlines the edges of the floral pattern. This gown does include under wire for minimum breast support, but is not padded. I don't need much support so this was fine for me. I have very small breasts, I wear a 36 B, and the small still had quite a bit of room to fill on me. In the middle of the gown, right in between the breasts, there is a small blue bow. Each loop of the bow is about an inch and the two pieces of the bow hang down 4 inches. Size Chart

There are 4 panels on this gown, 4 slits, two on the front of the gown, and two on the back. The slits measure 67" up the gown. The top of the slit on me comes up to my upper thigh. At the top of each slit there are very small blue bows. These bows are smaller than the bow on the upper part of the gown. Each bow is a little bigger than an inch in width.

This gown does have adjustable straps. This gown does not fasten anywhere. This is unfortunate because there is no adjusting the gown around your waist, hips, or bust. Like I said earlier, I usually wear a size medium, but bought a small. Needless to say, it was pretty snug around my waist but not uncomfortable. The gown is made of 100% polyester. It is light and flows nicely. It is not the most comfortable gown that I've worn, but it's decent. I prefer some spandex to give my gowns that extra stretch and added comfort. This gown is not very stretchy at all. If you are bigger in the waist, you might not like this gown. The thong that is included with the gown is solid blue. It is also made of 100% polyester. I usually wear a size 5 panty and they fit me nicely.

Care instructions on the tag are: machine wash-warm gentle
wash darks seperately
tumble dry low
remove promptly
do not twist or wring

I wash all of my lingerie by hand, so I wouldn't know about these care instructions. If it weren't for the care instructions, length, and no stretch issues, I would have rated this gown a lot better. In my opinion, the gown is more trouble than it's worth.

I look at this gown all the time, wishing that it would have been more comfortable. This truly is a beautiful gown, but I have to have both beauty and comfort.
