Spandex net crop top and booty shorts - bra and panty set discontinued by Leg Avenue - review by Mamastoys

The Spandex net crop top and booty shorts by Leg Avenue has a cute concept but falls short in the area of carrying out the design. This bra and shorts only come in a one size fits most which usually means it doesn't fit too many people. According to the sizing chart, one size should fit sizes 6-11, cups A-C, bust 32-38, waist 23-29, and hips 34-40. I knew it would be pushing the limits on the top as I am a 38-B. I wear sized 8 or 10, depending. The shorts were no problem as that has always been the smallest part of me coming in at waist 27 and hips 36. In other words, I have no butt.





The top is made from fishnet and is designed like a sports bra. It doesn't offer any support, has no under wires, or padding. There is no lining in the fishnet so concealing anything is out of the question. The fishnet doesn't stretch so if you can't get into it the way it is, you are out of luck. There is a piece of elastic that goes around the bottom. It is only slightly stretchable measuring 18 inches up to 25 inches. The straps on the top are thin and don't offer any support either.



The better part of the set is the shorts. They have a solid piece in front and back and only have some of the fishnet material on one side. The front and back are interchangeable as there is no way to tell which is front and which side is the back. There isn't a tag in either piece and the shorts don't have a panty liner in it. The shorts are stretchy and probably fit lots more women than the top does. The cut of the shorts is like boy shorts and are quiet comfortable. They did feel like one side was longer than the other and I don't know if this is standard with this set or a flaw in the set I got. It's not necessarily uncomfortable, just different. Maybe it has to do with the fishnet only being on one side, I'm not sure. The only drawback I found with these is that they tend to ride up the longer you wear them.





The set is made from 90% nylon and 10% spandex. As mentioned before, there isn't a tag in either piece. The care instructions are on the box and instruct to hand wash in warm water, avoid bleach, ironing, and dry cleaning. I can't imagine using an iron on them nor taking them to the cleaners. I chose to wash mine in cold water in a lingerie bag and hung them up to drip dry. They survived the washer fine. There is the danger of picking the pieces, especially the top if it gets hung up on anything.

The bra and booty short set comes in the typical Leg Avenue package consisting of a box with pictures on the front and back. The care instructions were also on the back. There was a clear cut out so that the product can be seen.





You can use the box to store the set in or just keep it in a drawer. The set can be folded up for traveling and unless they are unfolded, nobody should be able to tell what it is.

I tried both pieces on when it arrived and found the shorts fit pretty good but the top was a little tight. It didn't have much give in it and it provided minimal coverage. I put the set on later in the week just for fun one evening and hubby really liked it. Of course, he is a man so he liked the top best. Personally, I liked the shorts more and have worn them several times with another top. It's not something that I would wear out in public but could be by someone younger than me. The top probably won't get much worn much except when we want to just play around.
