My husband is deployed with the United States Navy and I purchased this outfit as a welcome home gift. I did some shopping around and this is one of the cuter sailor suits I've seen.

I wear a size 22/24 so I am always nervous about purchasing costumes! You never know how the sizing is really going to be, but this fits perfectly. In fact, it gives me a little wiggle room so it's not super tight on me. It comes mid-thigh if the little pulls on the side are left loose. However, the drawstrings on the sides make it hug just below my panty line. I would say if you were so bold, you could wear it at either length to an actual costume party, although there is quite the cleavage going on with it.

It comes with a dixie cup (the cute little sailor hat) with a sequin anchor on it, and white gloves with blue bows on them. The gloves were a little big, but manageable. The hat was a little small, but has little loops on the side to bobby pin down. I would only bobby pin it if you wanted to wear the hat through intercourse, or if you were wearing it to a party.

Right between the cups there is a little anchor charm. I was kind of disappointed by it. It looked prettier in the picture and kind of cheap in person.

I would recommend hand washing the dress because it has sequins along the cups and a bib on the back. The same for the hat and gloves; the hat because it has sequins on it, and the gloves because the bows are pretty flimsy.

I love that it's cutesy instead of trying to look just like an actual uniform. It makes it more playful for us. Also, I thought it was pretty neat that the hat came with little loops to bobby pin onto your head as it's a little small- I suppose comically.

Though homecoming hasn't happened, I fully intend on changing into this and telling my husband I'm ready for my uniform inspection :D

Pair with white thigh highs and heels as depicted and it is pure adorable.
