Top and shorts - bra and panty set discontinued by DreamGirl - review by SMichelle

When I first saw this adorable set, I knew I had to make it mine. I waited several weeks for it to come back in stock, and immediately scooped it up when I saw it had become available. I was anxious to get, imaging that it would make me feel like sex kitten -- sadly, I was wrong. Don't get me wrong, this set IS sexy...it just doesn't make me FEEL sexy.

Basics:
This two piece set is made by DreamGirl. It's available in three different colors: black, red, and fuchsia. I purchased the red, simply as it was the only one in stock at the time that I placed my order. I simply had to have this, no matter what color it was. Truth be told, I would've preferred black, but the red is pretty.

The two piece set includes the bra/top, and the shorts/panties.

Material and Care:
Both items in this set are made out of 85% Nylon and 15% Spandex. I've read the amounts of each are different in the fuchsia set, so for the sake of saying... This is specifically for the red set.

The fabric consists of a gorgeous floral lace pattern. The lace is not itchy like some lace items can be -- in fact, it's quite comfortable and soft. The lace is very stretchy, and it does feel durable. I've given this many hard tugs, and it's yet to tear or snag.

There is also elastic on both pieces. On the bra top, the elastic goes across the top of the "cups", and is used as the straps. On the bottoms... Well, it goes all the way around the top of the panties, and then is used to make the sexy crisscross pattern that you see in the stock photo on the product page. The elastic is also very stretchy, and not at all itchy. That said, the elastic is not exactly soft, either.

To care for this item, it's recommended that you hand wash this in cold water, and then allow it to line dry. While that is what the tag recommends, I see no reason why this can't be put in the delicate cycle, so long as lingerie bag is used.

Sizing:
I was really worried about sizing with this item, as it is a one size fits most piece. I can usually make one size fits most items work for me, but not always.

Anyway, according to the size chart, one size fits most should fit the following measurements:
Cups: B-C
Bust: 32-38"
Waist: 24-32"
Hips: 34-40"

I wear a large C/small D cup, and have a 32" waist. My hips are 40". Looking at my measurements in comparison to the size chart, I had a pretty good feeling that this would be a tight fit. Still, I had to try it.

The bottoms fit me well enough, but they weren't perfect. I found that my little bit of pudge felt like it was getting serious muffin top, though it wasn't visible when I looked in the mirror. So... technically the bottoms fit me, but I'm probably pushing the limit. I wouldn't recommend these for anyone larger than 40" in the hips.

As for the bra? The actual band fits me well. The cups, on the other hand, feel too small. When I look in the mirror, it looks hot, though my breasts do sort of bulge out of it. It does not, however, feel hot -- despite the fact that my guy thinks it's very sexy.

I wouldn't recommend this for anyone above a very small C cup. The bra is just not going to be friendly to larger breasts, which is a shame.

Design:
Okay, I found the design to be very sexy, but it does make putting this on a bit difficult. This is because the pieces tend to get knotted up on themselves, which is a pain. To put the top on, though, you basically just slide it over your head, adjust it properly, and then tie the halter neck.

The cups of this bra are not really meant to cover your entire breast, so it might feel like it fits oddly. If you have smaller breasts, this might cover them, and it would look sexy. As for larger breasts? If you're above a C, you're just going to bulge out in all directions. It might look hot (my guy thought it did), but it probably won't feel hot.

The bra cups kind of come in at an angle. The cups don't offer any support, due to both a lack of underwire and a lack of padding. That said, the angle of the cups does seem to help push my girls up. In fact, I got some serious cleavage from this bra. Talk about shocking!

The back of the bra is a very thick band, which looks very pretty. The thick band is also very comfortable to wear.

The panties are basically booty shorts. They're meant to show your bum, but they do provide more coverage than a thong or g-string. The waistband of the panties are decorated with a sort of crisscross pattern that's made with the elastic. This looks really sexy, but if you have any fat on you, it might not be flattering.

The panties feature a rectangular cotton pantyliner, so these are suitable for everyday wear if they fit you properly.

Packaging:
The packaging consisted of a cardboard box. The cardboard box states basic information about the product, and features photographs of a model wearing the lingerie. It's not exactly discreet, but it's not obscene either.

I don't consider the packaging to be good for storage; it just takes up too much room. Your experience might differ, however.

Quality:
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this set. The material feels durable, and all of the seams seem strong. Quality wise, this is excellent.

All in all, I am giving this 3 stars, mainly taking off points due to the way that the bra fits.

This is still a really sexy outfit, but it just doesn't fit my body type well. For this reason, it spends most of its time in the drawer. I think that even if I lost a significant amount of weight, it's going to be too small for me due to the face that I have boobs.
