Forbidden mischief halter baby doll - babydoll and panties set by Escante - review by libbyv

The Forbidden Mischief Halter Babydoll by Escante is a beautifully, well designed nightie. This was my first experience buying a product from Escante and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the piece.

Materials/design:
Made with high quality materials; elastic, nylon and lace, it is extremely soft and comfortable against the skin. I was worried the nylon would have a scratchy feel, but that is not the case at all. These materials also make the night very sheer and light weight. It has a beautiful lace pattern around the top of the bust, and although it does not have an under wire, the elastic material provides amble support, at least for my B-cups.

Care and Maintenance:
The care instructions actually instruct to machine wash this gentle cycle and line dry. I was very surprised to see this, especially with lace detail around the bust. All of my other babydolls and chemises call for hand washing, which, I would probably suggest to help prolong the life of this piece, I think a washing machine would be to rough on the delicate lace details.

The light weight, soft materials do not seem to be the kind that will wrinkle, so storage on either a hanger or in a dresser drawer would probably both work just fine


Packaging:
I was very surprised we I opened the box from EF to find that this babydoll was packed on a hanger in nothing more than a clear trash bag. That hanger, is a cheap cloths hanger you'd find at any store, but I thought they could have put a little more effort into their packaging. The bag wasn't even sealed at the bottom.




Personal comments:
Though well made, there were a few design features I was disappointed to discover. The first was the open back design. The fact that it is only held together at one point, mid-back, was a bit of a turn off. When I'm leaned over on top, or in a doggy style position, nighties with these designs, feel like they are falling off, and I feel a bit self conscious with my ass being so exposed, I certainly prefer a closed back on lingerie. Though this detail is clearly shown on the product page, I later realized when looking back at EF that I had overlooked that photo. The other disappointing discovery was that the bows on the breasts, do not untie, or unbutton to allow the breast to be exposed. Although, the material around the bust can easily be pulled back, I thought the peek-a-boo feature would allow the cup to be opened.
