Something Blue Satin Eye Mask -- Definitely Not High Quality

This is a cute mask for someone wanting to begin playing in S&M. It is innocent, but sexy; however, this is not a good mask for any experienced person in bondage.

The Something Blue eye mask is meant as a blindfold. It is a simple white eye mask made of a smooth, white material with two baby blue ribbons that tie behind the wearer's head. The packaging says the material is satin, but it says in smaller lettering on the packaging that it is actually polyester. The packaging also has a picture of a very pretty blonde woman wearing the mask. The ribbons on each side of the mask are baby blue, and used to tie behind the head of the wearer to secure the mask for wearing. The ribbons are flimsy, but they're cute.

This mask is a cute idea for a newly married couple, but in no way is it high quality. The ribbon that ties behind the wearer's head is already fraying, the material is not strong at all, and the mask itself is not a good blindfold. There are gaps at the bridge of the nose when wearing the mask that allow the wearer to see easily. In the dark, this is probably not an issue, but for daytime play it's not ideal. I definitely suggest a different mask for serious S&M play, but for sleeping or for just messing around, this is the mask for you. If you're looking for a decent blindfold for you and your partner, this is probably not the one for you.

The Something Blue line is a nice idea though. This mask could be used along with the other pieces in this line to spice up a newly wedded couple's wedding night, or if you want to role play one night, and you'd like to be tied up as the "virgin bride" and be blindfolded. These are just a few ideas on how to use this mask. I realize it's not top quality, but it's a cute stepping stone into the S&M world.
Experience
My mask is fraying a little on the ribbon ends. Lack of stitching on the ends of the ribbons is the cause of the fraying. The mask itself is smaller than the one the picture on the packaging. It covers my eyes well, but for others -men especially- I doubt the mask would fit a larger face.

The material is soft, and I find the whole mask cute. I just wish it were nicer.

Looks like it would be a cute non-threatening gift for a bride-to-be.
