The Bound By Diamonds Collection from California Exotics - Diamond “G” and Pasties Set

This set features a pair of pasties with “diamond” tassels, 2 strips of med-line double sided adhesive tape and a G-string with a “peek-a-boo” slice in the front that has a strip of the “diamond” trim running the length of it. Packed in a cardboard box with the cal-exotics logo on the top, the front features a blonde model wearing the set and reads:
“ bound by diamonds”
“diamond G and pasties”
“exquisite diamond detail”
“lightweight and formfitting pasties”
“seductive patent leather g-string”

All of which I take knit-picky issue with:
1- it's crystal trim
2- the pasties aren't form fitting they're ill fitting
3- it's not patent leather, it's heavy weight upholstery PVC

The back of the box features a detail pic of the set and repeats the points made on the front as well as listing that it includes adhesive strips, has a “love ring for fetish play” and is one-size fits most. The set itself is in a small plastic bag with an adhesive closure. I plan on storing the set in a little Ziploc bag.

The G-string is ridiculously uncomfortable and not wide enough to cover all of the pubic mound, I guess you could say its a "french bikini cut” and unless you have the pelvic region of a mannequin, i.e. extremely flat it will buckle and gap at the front. The upholstery grade PVC it's made of is extremely stiff and cold, once it warms up it's a little less uncomfortable against the skin but it still be very stiff and makes the panty fit in a fantastically un-sexy way.

Being of the fabulous “One Size Fits Most” school of naughty knickers, this is sized rather poorly. The triangle of fabric that makes up the “panty” portion is 8 inches long with a 6inch “peek-a-boo” slit with a “diamond” accent running the length of the slit. The top of the triangle is 6 inches wide and gently curved, at the top center of the triangle is a satin loop holding an nickle free metal “love ring”. The butt-string and sides are 1/4 inch elastic and the waist elastic measures 19 inches un-stretched making the total waist 25 inches un-stretched, stretched to absolute max is 45 inches including the “triangle of fabric” the actual “g-string” portion of elastic is 6 1/2 inches un-stretched 14 inches stretched to max. The g-string is actually rather solidly constructed. The “diamond” strip is well secured and the edges are all neatly sewn. The elastic straps are solidly sewn to the triangle of panty as well. The “love ring” is pretty damn useless unless your clipping a y-chain from nipple clamps on, but then you wouldn't be using the pasties, and it would likely cause a mighty camel-toe, to be frank just walking around in this G-string had that effect.

The pasties are 2 1/2 inches across and extremely pointy, they aren't finished on the inside or the edges it's just the raw edges of the cut PVC. A few of the crystals from the tassel are on the inside from where the diamond strands are loosely stitched in (see pic https://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL1600/2143709/4288119/383369053.jpg). The crystal strands aren't suitable for twirling as they're sewn down into the point of the pasties, they seem to hang a bit cock-eyed to me, but I could be being overly critical, I am a little obsessive about my nipple tassels. Because of their extremely pointy shape they would accommodate a more pronounced nipple, but because of their small surface area getting them to stick on can be tricky and uncomfortable. They wouldn't really accommodate a larger sized areola but for girls with small/med sized areola they should be fine. The adhesive strips that come with the set are okay, but once you work up a good sweat they loose their stickiness. If you prep your skin by wiping it with rubbing alcohol you can get them to last a little longer.

This set can only be cleaned by wiping down with a damp cloth due to the nature of the material don't expose it to extreme heat or open flame. If you have an adhesive allergy or sensitivity you may want to skip the pasties all together. As an aside, the process for producing PVC is really caustic and some of the chemical by-products are really bad for the environment.

I was hoping to wear this as part of an ensemble to do a little burly-q for my hubby but the G-string was too damn uncomfortable and pasties wouldn't stay on my nips even when I used my tried and true eyelash adhesive. Overall I'm rather let down and I was really looking forward to getting this set. The crystals in the trim are actually a really good quality and put out a ton of sparkle so If the set actually fits you it'll look great. Alas, I was not so fortunate. If the G-string were made of a stretch satin or actual patent leather I think it would be more comfortable since the leather would warm and mold to the skin, the PVC just stays stiff and uncomfortable. I wouldn't recommend this for the fey and slender nor the curvaceous and ample, actually I wouldn't recommend this set period. I'm built pretty middle of the road myself and it didn't fit me well at all, but in fairness I am of the “short torso” clan. I guess your mileage may vary.

The g-string is still ridiculously uncomfortable and while I did eventually manage to get the pasties to stay on, they looked far pointier than I like. All in all, I'm sticking to my initial opinion "great concept, failed in execution".
