Microfiber boyshort with lace trim - shorts discontinued by Baci - review by Experiment

When I first opened the package, I was so happy. I had found that underwear on this site is a bit of a hit or miss. While it all looks really cute online, sometimes when you finally get the actual package in the mail, you open it to find....a really cheap, trashy looking version of what you had expected. Well, I was very surprised when I opened this package.

I had seen some reviews said to order a size up, but since I'm quite petite and a lot of what I order is actually a bit too large for me, I figured I'd be safe just ordering a small. When I opened the package, it was exactly what I'd hoped for. The underwear looked exactly like the picture. It had the same cute look, colors, and it was a fairly thick fabric (not that super sheer mesh that you often unexpectedly get).

'Wow!' I thought to myself. 'This is so great. I might go get another pair for when these get worn out.' Then I tried them on.

Or, I should say I attempted to try them on. They were about halfway up my hips when I realized that Houston, did we have a problem. I yanked and tugged and shimmied and finally got them on. You know those pictures of women wearing yoga pants and too tight underwear that leaves them with misshaped, lumpy butts? Yeah, it was exactly like that. I'm not a fat person, but boy did my butt look awful in those boyshorts. I was really surprised. Since most of the underwear I buy on this sight is a little too big, I was really taken aback by the fact that these were significantly too small. So, some reviews say you should probably buy a size up. I'm telling you DEFINITELY need to buy a size up...or two sizes. Because these don't run small. These run super teeny weeny small.

I was going to return them, but then I ended up getting really busy with school and work and before I knew it a ridiculously long amount of time had passed. I wasn't disappointed in the quality of the underwear, but the fact that they're of good quality only makes me more forlorn as I look at them sitting in my drawer knowing I'll never be able to wear them.

All the squeezing in the world isn't going to get my butt into this pair of underwear. I'm pretty upset because they really do seem like a quality pair and that they'd be comfy and cute. However, they don't just run small. They run VERY VERY SMALL. I'm a standard small (I wear a size 5. I'm 5'2" and weigh about 120 pounds), but I don't think these would have fit me for the past 5 years. Maybe if I was still a 105 lb size 0 these would fit. I don't know who they think they're fooling by labeling these as small. These are like XXS. They do still seem luxurious and adorable, so if you're a twig, try these out!
