Orchid ruffled front dress - mini dress discontinued by Espiral - review by skeeterlynn

When I first saw this dress, I fell in love. My body, however, was kind of depressed because I thought of how bad it would look on me right now with my body type. I went ahead and got it anyways to try and see if it would look good. I figured at the very least it will motivate me to work out and make it look good on me.

When I got the dress it came in a plastic bag, inside the box with everything else I ordered. Inside the bag was the dress and a cardboard sheet with the picture of the dress and the other styles of dresses on it. It was very easy to open and did not need scissors, which is nice because you don't have to worry about accidentally cutting the dress itself.

The material and somewhat silky and very comfortable. It's not tight to where it feels like it's cutting off your circulation, but just right to where it hugs you without hugging every single crease your body has. The ties around the back are just two ties on each side that actually connect as one. Because of this you only need to worry about 2 strings, not 4. That's nice because it's easier, but throws it off if you wanted the two separate ties going on. The top is held together by a chain with black gems so it stays in place over your breasts, which looks very cute. I don't think that I would suggest this to extremely large breasted women since I'm a 38C and my breasts were sticking out slightly on the side. I do not know how well it would hold DD's.

After I got the dress (Purple and large in size) I had to try it on. I'm a little on the bigger side (5'5'', 175lbs and size 14 jeans) so when I put it on just the dress I didn't care for how my hips looked. I loved the top and loved how open the back was for my tattoo, but the hips were not flattering due to how my body itself is shaped (The fat, not the hip shape itself).

I decided to try it with a pair of leggings and I added a black, lace, see-through top. This made it look a lot better to me. The bottoms helped even out my stomach and hips so it didn't have the unflattering effect. Unfortunately, when I sat down it was unflattering again. So this piece, as much I loved it and wanted it to work for me, just wasn't working. After I get with my workout plan and make my fat rolls go away, I'm sure it will look great. Until then I have given it to my sister in law as a gift and let me say, she looks AMAZING in it. She loos so much better than I did. I'm sure it would have looked better on me had I gotten the XL.

I still think it's sexy as hell! I just need to get more in shape so it looks better on my body.
