Black babydoll and g-string - babydoll and panties set by Espiral - review by Shellz31

BRAND & COLOUR:

Espiral is the company responsible for making the Black Babydoll and g-string set which is made in Columbia.

Eden sells this set in the black with tiny white spots, white ribbon ties in the front and matching bows. Also on offer is a red with tiny black spots, black front ties and matching bows on the breast triangles and g-string.


MATERIAL:

Both the babydoll and g-string are made from 96% nylon and 4% elastane. These two products give the outfit an extreme amount of stretch in all directions and is like a very fine mesh, so it's ultra see through. It's soft, light and flows beautifully. The babydoll and g-string feature white bows along with ribbon ties to bring the front panels together. The halter straps are thin strips of elastic.

I bought this in the XL, being that's what I tend to go for in US lingerie. I also didn't want the front panels to gap open excessively cause of my troublesome stomach region. Otherwise, I could have gotten away with a L in this style.

All measurements below are gained by measuring across a flat garment.


G-STRING:

The g-string features a reasonably large bow on the front which can be taken off (snipping the stitches) if you find it undesirable. It's not much of one, but it does have a small triangle of soft cotton as the panty liner. A small bullet could be placed in the top of the lining as it's not stitched across. Sewn all the way around the mesh triangle is thin (a little over ½”) black elastic. This creates the waist band and the piece that sit between your butt cheeks. Unlike some g-strings, this piece is actually stitched in place on the waist band; it won't slide along. The tag is located along the front edge which can be annoying, but easily removed if trimmed off.

BABYDOLL:

Just like with the g-string, the babydoll is completely, apart from the hem and up the front, edged in the black thin elastic. This allows plenty of stretch for a comfortable fit. The elastic continues pasts the top of the triangle cups, which feature a white ribbon bow on each, to create the halter neck straps. Between the breast cups are two strips of white ribbon (17 ½” long by ½” wide), so the wearer can adjust it to their liking. The back sits at your normal bra level, depending on your preference and has plenty of stretch due to the elastic edging. This elastic continues to encircle the body underneath the breasts to the front edge. This draws this section in to create some chest support. Also at the bottom of the cups are some gathers to give that little extra shaping. The two front panels are rounded at the hem and sweeps open to reveal stomach and the matching g-string.
Both of the bows could be safely removed without ruining the outfit.

CLEANING ~ PACKAGING:

As usual, I gave this a hand wash for the first cleaning and will probably continue to do so due to the thin delicate material. The tag says to hand wash only and do not iron. I believe it also says not to line dry it, but I hung mine up and it's perfectly fine. It could be placed in a pillow case or lingerie bag and washed on a gentle cycle.
If you're concerned about it stretching at all, although it's so light weight even when soaking wet from hand washing, it's probably best to lay it flat on something like a towel rather than to tumble dry it.

This set arrived in a clear plastic bag with a cardboard insert. The top features a small plastic coat hanger – for shop posing purposes. On the front is the product page model wearing the babydoll set along with the company's name and the size you purchased. The back has a different model, viewed from the back, in the red set and a number of smaller images of Espiral's other lingerie pieces down one side. At the bottom of the packaging is a strip of tacky glue at the closure which can be resealed if desired.

EXPERIENCE:

Most lingerie pieces that are this revealing don't really make me feel sexy at my size. But this one is so comfortable with a flowy, relaxed feel that one can't help but feel desirable. I live with family, so when I leave my room I simply put a pair of boy short panties on. I don't get noticed most of the time cause each of us is busy with our own things, but I just cover my nipples if anyone happens to look at me face on. Perfect for those who live alone or with a partner/s.
My DD breasts only just fit sufficiently (for my liking) in the cups and are actually quite supported. If the elastic halter pieces were ribbon, it would allow my breasts to be fully supported. But as it is now, you have the stretchy ties as well as the stretch in the actual fabric. I'm not fond of the thin elastic as it digs in my neck with supporting such weight. Although, I'm not a fan of elastic ties at the best of times cause it allows too much stretch. I prefer something like ribbon that has no give at all.
I'm tempted to snip the elastic ties and attach some white ribbon (onto the bow) that matches the front ties.
I love the casual feel of this, even though I'm not normally into polka dots. These small dots just work for this set! And I love the white bows, as it finishes this piece off; it just wouldn't look as nice (in my opinion) without them.

It's so comfortable and cool (apart from the pressure on my neck) that I could stay in this all day ~ 5 stars!

Although I still like this set, I have noticed there are thin strands of elastic poking out of the material in places; mostly down the edges. If it was tight and I was stretching the fabric, I may be able to justify this happening. But it's not tight. I have also noticed a piece I bought recently (different brand), brand new out of the package, doing the same thing. It's as though the elastic pieces that make up the material migrate when they are cut and just stitching up the seams doesn't prevent this.

Apart from that and the fact that I can't wear it too long due to the pressure on my neck, this is a sexy number.
