The Mini Brute vibrator, unfortunately, is not worthy of a spot in my toy collection. I purchased this vibrator before I knew anything about the different types of materials and their safety levels. Although, if you’re a fan of jelly regardless the safety level, then you MIGHT enjoy this toy. I would recommend this toy for someone who enjoys using jelly and is looking for a toy that is not intimidating in size. I find that the size of this vibrator is ideal for beginners. This vibrator is intended for and best used vaginally, though you could also use it for clitoral stimulation. Since there is not a flared end to this toy, I would not recommend it for anal use. This vibrator is light weight and small in size which makes it easy to use solo or with your partner.

There are two parts to this vibrator. There is a shiny, white pearl, hard plastic bullet and an attachable jelly sleeve. The worst feature about this product, in my opinion, is the jelly sleeve. I can't say there is one thing I enjoyed about it.

The first thing I noticed about this toy was the overwhelming smell of the jelly sleeve. The smell lingers on to your body and even after extreme washing the strong chemical smell never seems to leave the toy. In fact, as I sit here and write this review with the toy in my hand, the smell is giving me a headache. Another thing I didn't enjoy about the sleeve was how there was an extreme drag to the jelly material. In no way did it glide nicely against the skin. That also made it very uncomfortable upon insertion, and a lot of lubrication was needed. On the plus side, I really liked the texture on this sleeve and the fact that it can be easily removed.

Before you choose to use a jelly toy, I would suggest you do some research on the material and about the dangers of phthalates and porous materials. Also, be aware that some people have bad reactions to jelly, myself being one of them.

I actually like the design and the size of this vibrator, so all the other bad qualities about this vibrator are somewhat of a let down. The total length of this vibrator with the sleeve is 6 inches long with an insertable length of 5 inches and a circumference of 4 inches. The bullet alone is 5 inches long and the jelly sleeve by itself measures in at 3 1/2 inches. This vibrator is small in size which makes it good for beginners or users looking for something more travel friendly. The look of this vibe is in no way discreet. If you're looking for something you can leave laying around, this is not the toy to consider.

The Mini Brute vibrator is powered by 1-AA battery, and is easily controlled by a turn dial at the bottom of the vibrator. Although the turn dial is made of a cheap plastic, it is very easy to use and is in no way touchy. By turning the dial clockwise, it powers on the vibrator and increases the speed from low to high. This vibrator is rather weak, and offers a rumbling vibration that is felt mostly on the surface and at the tip of the shaft.

The mini brute is one of those toys you want to make sure you clean very well, especially the jelly sleeve. Jelly is one of those materials that you can not sterilize. Instead, you have to wash this extremely well with a mild soap and warm water or with your favorite toy cleaner. The plastic bullet is waterproof and can be easily cleaned the same way. Since this bullet is covered with a jelly sleeve, you want to store this vibrator in some kind of pouch, away from your other toys. This vibrator is safe to use with both water based and silicone lubricants

Just like the title states, my experience was just that, a brutal one. With this toy, I learned that I have bad reactions to Jelly. I know it was probably not the smartest thing for me to use this toy without a condom, but I was totally unaware of the safety precautions to take when using jelly material. I don’t share my toys, so I never even thought to use a condom with them. While some may disagree, I blame this toy for my very first UTI.
