A Slight Tickle

Everyone promise not to waste money on this, okay? The rubber shell that encases the bullet absorbs all of the vibrations so that all you feel while wearing it is a slight tickle (and that's being generous). This toy looks so nice but fails so bad. Just don't do it.

Pros
Nicely contoured, elegant, fits comfortably

So weak it shouldn't be called a sex toy

Use

The Invisi-vibe is designed to be worn inside of a woman's panties, without needing a special panty that comes with the vibe. It is ergonomic to fit with the female anatomy, which will keep it in place. It is intended to stimulate the clitoris, vaginal lips, and the outside of the vaginal opening. It is rather discreet in appearance, which is a plus. However, there is no remote, so it cannot really be used by couples looking for a toy for public play. This toy is water-resistant but not waterproof.

Sadly, the bottom line is that I cannot recommend this toy to anyone, not even to a beginner. The toy is very, very weak and I doubt it would bring even the most sensitive of women to an orgasm.

Material / Texture

The Invisi-vibe has two pieces: an outer shell constructed of clear rubber and a plastic bullet.

Rubber rates a three out of ten on Eden's safety scale. It is very porous, which allows the material to harbor bacteria. For that reason, this toy should not be shared. The rubber on this toy has a very light scent and no taste to it. The top of the rubber shell is smooth, while the bottom has a lot of nubs for stimulation. The material has a lot of drag and it does attract hairs and lint. Also, there are defects along the edges where the rubber appears to be knicked (shown below). The rubber is highly flexible. It has a lot of give to it and can be bent in every direction.

The plastic vibe that comes with this set is hard and smooth. It rates an eight out of ten on Eden's safety scale and is not porous as the rubber portion is. The bullet has no smell or taste. Being plastic, of course, it has no give or flexibility to it.

Design / Shape / Size

I found the design of this actually very comfortable. The rubber shell is 4.5" long, 2" across and 2" in depth. There is a raised portion that fits gently into the entrance of the vaginal opening. This ridge is only half an inch deep, so it isn't really intended for penetration so much as to keep the toy lined up correctly. To wear it, I simply spread my lips one at a time and place it up against myself. It does stay in place very well and can be worn with any pair of panties or if you like, no panties at all.

The bullet is housed on the opposite side in a little cylinder-shaped pocket. The bullet itself measures 2" long and 1" in diameter. It is almost the same exact size as a AA battery. It slides into the pocket a little more than halfway, leaving just the battery compartment and push-button sticking out.

This toy is discreet looking in that it is not obvious what it is from a glance. The unique shape would throw off any curious eyes. It is also small enough to hide easily and travel with.

Functions / Performance / Controls

This vibrator is controlled by a push-button. That is certainly a downfall, as most people wanting a panty vibe expect a remote that can be used by their partner. With this toy, it would be necessary to actually reach in and out of your panties to change the functions.

There are three functions to the bullet. There are two steady vibration settings (lower and higher) and also a pulsing function. Pressing the button once will turn it on and holding it down for three seconds will turn it off.

The sound level on this toy ranges from 2 bees to 3 bees, depending on the setting. The vibrations are the higher pitched, buzzy kind. On its own, the bullet has about 3 vrooms worth of power. The problem doesn't occur until you place the bullet in the rubber sleeve. Unfortunately, the rubber sleeve actually absorbs all the shock from the bullet's vibration. The end result being that the user only receives 1 vrooms worth, even on the higher setting. This is by far the weakest vibrator I have ever used. The only place you really feel some vibration is on the opposite side of the toy where the bullet is less insulated.

This toy runs on three LR44 batteries, which it comes with. You just have to open the battery compartment and take out a little paper shield before using it for the first time. Weirdly enough, the box actually states it runs on a different battery size than it really does. I also want to mention that the batteries are hard to remove. I couldn't get the third one out at all.

Care and Maintenance

This toy is easy to maintain. The bullet and shell can be separated and each cleaned with antibacterial soap, toy cleaner or toy wipes. The plastic bullet may also be wiped down with rubbing alcohol if you like. This toy should be stored in a cool location that's out of direct sunlight to avoid melting. It should also be placed in a separate baggie so that the material doesn't have a chemical reaction to your other toys. A plastic sandwich bag would work great.

All types of lubes may be used with this product. Lube will probably not be necessary since the toy remains in a stationary position on your body but if you do want to use one, it won't hurt the toy any.

Packaging

This item arrives in somewhat discreet packaging. It states the product name and shows the product through a plastic window. The product is inside a clear plastic tray inside of a white cardboard box, so it ends up being classy looking since it matches the color scheme of the toy itself. The box may be kept and used for storage but it is much larger than the toy is on its own.

There are no instructions included except for a brief description of how to care for the toy on the bottom of the box. One note worth mentioning is that the bullet will no longer be waterproof if you lose the rubber ring that behaves as a seal for the battery compartment.

Experience

I was very excited to receive this toy. I thought that it had a classy appearance to it and I loved that I didn't have to wear a particular panty with it. When I put it on, I was very happy with the way it felt inside my vaginal lips. It was very comfortable and stayed in exactly the right place while I walked around to test it out. It wasn't until I reached into my panties and pressed the on button that I felt a surge of disappointment.

Now, I had tested out the bullet beforehand and although it wasn't very strong, I felt it might be enough if I used it for a long enough period of time. However, once the bullet was in the rubber encasement, all the vibrations were absorbed. I barely felt anything at all. I hit the button again for the higher speed but still, I felt barely anything. It was like a slight tickle at best. I can't even say it would be enough as a warm-up toy for foreplay.

I really can't imagine this toy working for anyone. I apologize for making such a harsh statement but it is just the weakest thing I've ever used. Perhaps the bullet on its own could be used but in that case, why not just buy a bullet? There's no point to buying a panty vibe that cannot be used as a panty vibe. In my opinion, money could be much better spent on a different item. Any other item. It can't be worse than this one.
Follow-up commentary
I have nothing more to say on this toy. After a couple more attempts to make it work, I ended up just tossing it out. It was definitely a disappointment.

@ ImaGodiva - It actually DOES look a little like a doorstop. At the least, it would make my partner laugh when he saw me using it for that.

thanks for a well worded and honest review. not every toy is perfect and it's always nice to see those who can factually express why instead of just saying "this toy sucks". Any chance you've tried using the shell with a stronger bullet?
