Packaging:

The Packaging of the B.O.B Silicone Waterproof Slimline vibe is a bright and cheerful semi transparent plastic box. On the back of the packaging is a bullet list of the toys features. According to this it has a powerful motor located in the tip, has 10 functions of vibration, pulsation and escalation and it even has a state-of-the-art memory chip which allows you to turn off the vibrator and later resume on the same function.



First Impression:

As you’ll guess by the name, the B.O.B Silicone Waterproof Slimline Vibrator is indeed slim in person. Its pink colouring, soft silicone and modest girth combine to make this quite an unintimidating looking and beginner friendly choice of vibrator. Rather than having a bulbous head the B.O.B has an equally slimline head when compared to the shaft which should make for easy and comfortable insertion. The nubs at the base of the shaft feel surprisingly soft to the touch. I have owned similar toys with these little spikes or nubs at the shafts base and I usually find them to be stiff and uncomfortable so I was pleasantly surprised at feeling just how soft these are. The soft silicone material of the B.O.B is also completely scent and taste free.

In Use/Experience:

The B.O.B Silicone Waterproof Slimline Penis Vibrator is powered by two AA batteries which you place in its easy twist-open base. On the base of the toy are two raised power buttons: one to switch the toy on and off and one to bring you through its vibrating functions. These controls are simple to use and easy to press without being too easy to –accidently- press during use.

Pressing the ‘function’ button and making my way through the 10 various modes of vibration, I was impressed with the range of intermittent and escalating vibration modes. Three of the B.O.B’s modes are levels of steady vibration while the rest pulsate and escalate. With seven pulsing/escalating modes to experiment with there is a mode to suit most and switching back and forth between slower and faster pulsing modes is great for teasing and keeping you on the edge.


When it comes to inserting the B.O.B, the slim head and shaft make for easy insertion with just a drop of water based lube needed. Most silicone toys (especially those with a velvety soft finish) have a feeling of ‘drag’ to them so I would always recommend keeping lube on hand when using a silicone toy. It is generally recommended that you keep silicone based lubricants away from Silicone toys as they can cause the finish of silicone toys to degrade over time.

While the base of the shaft is solid, the top of shaft has alot of give to it. You can feel the motor of the toy in the head but right under this you can bend the shaft to give it a curve as otherwise it is naturally very straight. It will even hold this shape reasonably well afterwards.

The slim head of the B.O.B is realistically shaped and so has a stimulating ridge with two smaller ‘skin fold’ ridges underneath this. Along the shaft there is a pattern of slightly raised veining. While the slim girth and modest length of the B.O.B seemed like it might be lacking for someone with as much toy experience as me: it actually proved to be more stimulating than expected. The ridged head and the light but evenly distributed pattern of veins combine to create a more pleasurable experience than first expected.

The strong vibrations carry through the shaft nicely providing a very decent level of internal vibration. With the B.O.B boasting such strong vibrations, they unfortunately aren’t the quietest but a couple of the lower settings are practically unheard when placed under the covers.

One function the B.O.B has that I have only ever noticed in quite luxury brand toys is that it can remember what function you were last using and will resume on that setting when you next return to the toy.

Overall the B.O.B Silicone Waterproof Slimline Penis Vibrator surpassed my expectations with its powerful vibrations and wide range of teasing, pulsing and escalating functions. While the nubs at the base of the shaft didn’t do much for me, they were at least comfortable unlike some similarly designed toys out there. The veined texture of the shaft made for a much more stimulating experience than I expected from this toys modest size.

Material/Care:

Made of skin safe silicone, The B.O.B is both latex and phthalates free. It is non-porous and easily cleaned with warm soapy water or specialized toy cleaner. Being a waterproof toy, there is even no need to worry about water entering the battery compartment during cleaning. I would recommend using a water-based lubricant with as it is generally believed that over time Silicone based lubricants can damage Silicone toys.
