Crystal chic vibe - bullet discontinued by Cal Exotics - review by Alicia

The Crystal Chic Vibe from California Exotics is a petite waterproof vibe with a very classy feel and look to it. At 5 1/4" long (3 3/4" insertable) and only 5/8" in diameter it looks more like an elongated bullet then a regular vibrator. It also reminds me of a mini magic wand with its genuine crystals around its base, right above where the battery door screws on. The Crystal Chic also feels very elegant with its velvet-cote smooth texture. Even the controls on this vibe remain stylish as it blends into the base of the vibe with a single push button. That button cycles the Chic through its three different levels of vibration.

The vibrations are very strong, but they are a very buzzy type vibration, not deep feeling. For me, no matter how fast or strong a vibration is it's not going to really do the trick unless it's a deep vibration. Depending on what you like though you might find the chic to offer not enough power or possibly even too much. I found that due to the buzziness it helped me to start off on the low and gradually build up to the high as I wanted additional power. Otherwise starting on high sometimes the vibrations would feel almost irritating, kind of like an itch. Also, on high this toy is obnoxiously loud. It's not too bad on medium and it's fairly quiet on low, but on high it’s annoyingly loud and I found it distracting. It took me longer to achieve a clitoral orgasm with the Crystal Chic then it would with other bullets/vibes but it is possible.

The Crystal Chic can also be used vaginally as an insertable vibe (just not anally since there is no flared base). I found it to function very well this way. The vibrations didn't feel quite so buzzy and felt stronger internally then they did externally. They weren't quite enough this way alone but they could be used solo by also using another vibe externally while using the Chic internally. This works out well for me since I like the smaller size of the Chic as a long vaginal bullet and I have toys I like better that I'd rather use for my external stimulation. During couple time I found that the small size of the Crystal Chic made it great for foreplay and could be used by my husband by rubbing, thrusting, twirling...just many things you can do with this magic wand.

Another benefit that the Chic offers is that it's waterproof. There is an o-ring on the battery compartment lid so as long as you keep the lid screwed on tightly there should be no problem of getting water into your vibe. Thing is though, the vibrations were not deep enough to carry through the feel of the water on my skin and I found that the Chic's vibrations fell flat in the water. If I positioned myself away from the stream of the shower I was able to enjoy the chic better for shower play. I will say though that I have a hard time finding toys that work for me in the water. This isn't the first toy that I have that I felt couldn't fulfill the needs I had for it in the shower. So, your mileage may vary.
