Buzzy-listic Slimline Bullet

The Ballistic Slimline by California Exotic is incredibly buzzy but by no means weak. Its two speeds are just strong enough for those who can endure or enjoy very buzzy surface vibes. Those seeking internal vaginal or anal vibrations should look elsewhere as this is not really an insertable toy. The cord fits snuggly against the bullet, but should be spared from being tugged or being used as a retrieval cord as it could easily become loose. The box clearly states that this toy should never be immersed in water, so keep it away from the bathtub and full sinks.

The cord is a decent three feet in length allowing for comfortable partner play and plenty for typical solo play. It is safe for all external activities, though may be too buzzy for some. The buzziness, however, may be more manageable through a thick sheet or blanket. For those who are particularly sensitive, this may not be your best option. This bumbling little bullet can be a bit aggressive on softer body parts.

The Ballistic Slimline is quite loud for its stature so keep your door closed and it under a blanket if you need privacy or prefer a quieter time.

The packaging lists the toy as being made of ABS plastic (given an 8 rating on Eden's safety scale). The Ballistic Slimline is odorless right out of the package and up close. It also carries no taste.

There is no texture on the bullet, save a thin seam running around its middle. As this toy is not exactly insertable the seam is of little or no consequence, though it should be paid some extra attention during cleaning. The bullet is cold to the touch, but warms up quickly after some use.

The toy is made of a safe material an can be fun for anyone, beginner through advanced; however, those looking for more rumbly or deep vibes best look elsewhere.

The Ballistic Slimline consists of two parts, a control pack and a bullet with attached wire. The control body is about 4.5 inches and is made of a bright pink, smooth plastic. There is one thumb pad sized, rubber button with which the bullet is manipulated. The battery compartment on the back of the body is easily released by applying pressure and sliding down. The compartment lid is attached to the controller making it much easeir to keep tabs on it. The body itself is a rounded hourglass shape and, with the addition of its 2 AA batteries, has a comfortable weight and fit in the hand.



The bullet is a smooth, metallic pill shape about 2 inches in length. Its cord is fairly firmly attached at the bullet base with a rubber stopper. The cord is a decent 3 feet long making it easy to hold and maneuver, but should not be used as a retrieval cord. Excessive tugging or yanking on the cord could lead to it being loose or detatching.



The overall appearance, while not phallic, is very obviously a bullet vibrator. It is small enough to stick in a drawer and is decently travel friendly. Just don't expect somone to gloss over its purpose should they find it.

The Ballistic Slimline is a two speed bullet with detachable cord/plug-in jack on the control body. To control the bullet its attached wire must be plugged into the pink body (think headphones). The single "Soft Touch" button manages the bullet's two speeds. One click for the low speed, a second click for the high speed, and a third click for off. In terms of vibrating intensity, the first setting is more of a medium in comparison to the second setting. When placed on an open palm, the first setting will roll the bullet a bit until it begins to wiggle off while the second setting will move the bullet right off the edge. Both are very buzzy and quite loud. The vibrations are not felt in the control body, but can be felt up the wire to about half its length. Handling the bullet can get annoying as it can rapidly tickle or cause your hand to itch.

After being turned on the control body and the wire of the Ballistic Slimline stay at room temperature; the bullet warms up very slightly. While in use the bullet warms very quickly to body temperature.

The toy packaging states this is not to be immersed in water and to be honest, I'd be careful around any major moisture. It is best kept for external use and cleaned with a damp cloth or toy wipe.

The controls are conveniently placed and easy to manage. It's also handy to pick your speed and let it go, making it much less likely anything will be changed or switched off during play. The plug-in jack also makes accidental yanks on the control body easy to avoid as it will just pop out. All you have to do is plug it back in and keep going.



I can't comment much on battery use/abuse as I haven't owned it long enough yet!

The plastic of this toy is an easy to care for material. It is non-porous so it won't suck up bacteria like some other materials (e.g. jelly, cyberskin, et al.). For cleaning you can use a damp soapy cloth, a toy wipe, toy spray, or rub it down with some alcohol followed by a water-damp cloth. This toy should not be submerged in water, boiled, or stuck in your dishwasher - it will die a painful and unwarranted death.

Any type of lube is compatible with this toy. Silicone or water lubricant can be used safely, though you should mind the wire attachment. The seam may also need a little extra cleaning with a finger nail or cloth edge to get any fluids out.

Storage is a simple affair. It will not react when placed next to toys of similar materials like silicone. For sanitary reasons you may prefer to keep it in a plastic bag or in its own packaging. However, the box it comes in is a bit bulky and tends to take up more space than it actually needs.

The toy comes packaged in an easily opened plastic box that is fairly discreet. While there are no scantily clad women used in the design, it does offer a clear window to the toy. The pink text echoes the toy's own colors, while the blue background conceals the plastic form the bullet is nestled in. The front of the package has the name of the toy, the California Exotic Novelties' stamp, and a couple of points about the toy. The back of the box has a picture of the Ballistic Slimline with various points about it: "Quiet & Powerful Vibrating Slimline Bullet", "EZ-Grip Ergonomic Shape", etc. It also directs you to a website where you can register your product. The bottom gives you some tips such as, "DO NOT IMMERSE IN WATER" and the material type (ABS).



Inside, the bullet and control body are neatly arranged in their own plastic container. There is a small direction sheet that offers step-by-step pictures of how to properly insert the batteries. As this is a plastic toy, I tossed the packaging after taking pictures. The box is all right for storage, but really becomes an unnecessary waste of space.

Oh my goodness is this thing buzzy. I know I said it above, but it's important that you understand just how crazy it is. While it's not super powerful the buzziness makes it feel like it's moving a ton. I liked the ergonomic body and long cord; both made the bullet easy to maneuver for my husband and me. What actually ended up happening was I did not get off, not with the bullet at least. My husband had an enormous amount of fun tickling me with the thing. It is so buzzy (like "shake an angry bee in a can" buzzy) that any time he touched me with it I would end up in a fit of laughter. What I anticipated being spicy ended up being hilarious (not that I would trade that kind of fun). Would I recommend this for some down and dirty sexy time? No. What I do recommend it for is having fun, especially if you can share it with a partner. It's great for a ridiculous romp that can end any way you choose.
