Deep dream - rabbit vibrator by Cal Exotics - review by BBW Talks Toys

This rabbit vibrator, called the "Deep Dream" by Cal Exotics is designed to be used as an internal, possibly g-spot, vibrator and a clitoral stimulator. The best use for this vibrator would probably be to glue some silly eyes to it and use it as an ironic photo gag prop? Or maybe just for me. Someone who has more compact anatomy (easy to reach g-spot and a short clit-to-opening ratio) might have a better time with this, but for me, it just didn't reach... well... anything. I definitely had to use this with my hubby because I couldn't keep the clit "bulb" on my clit while I pumped it in and out of my vag. This could be used solo if you're either flexible or if you are up for holding the clit bulb while pumping it.

When I got this toy, I opened it up immediately and was bombarded with the smell of nail polish. Even after washing this with a nice grapefruit mint soap, I couldn't get rid of the odor. The "Deep Dream" is made of TPE (which is also known as TPR). It's a bit squishy and very flexible. You could bend this whole thing in half if you wanted to, and it won't break. It's very smooth and when coated with lube is very slippery and hard to hold. TPE is somewhat porous, so if you're not the only one using it you'll want to put a condom over it, which may prove to be a bit difficult as it's got two different sections to cover.

Since this vibe is not a TPE Silicone composite, you can use silicone or water based lubes.

The "Deep Dream" has a whimsical, artistic design to it. It has waves to help you achieve g-spot stimulation and a very bulbous, non-animal shaped (which is nice) clitoral stimulator. The whole thing is 7.5 inches long. Only 3.5 inches is able to be inserted. The clitoral bulb-thingy part is 3 inches from the crease to the top.

There is only one bullet in the vibrator, about 3/4 of an inch from the tip of the vibrator. It has good vibrations and three speeds. Since there is no bullet in the clit bulb, you have to have it on at least the two higher speeds to get it to even begin to resonate on the clit. It has a silver painted plastic o-ring around the battery compartment that does keep water out, but it would be better if it were plain white or black plastic that was not painted, as the paint did chip a little. Perhaps this was the cause for the nail polish-esque smell that I noticed. After washing it and drying it thoroughly, the chips were gone; however, I would imagine that it could chip more.

In my opinion, the size of this rabbit style vibe is a little too small if your clit is any higher than about 2.5 inches from your vag opening and/or if your g-spot rests any further than 2-3 inches into your vagina. It just won't reach. Cal Exotics would do well to re-engineer this toy a little. Especially in the length of the clit part, adding a bullet, and not painting the o-ring for the battery compartment.

This looks like a sex toy. It may not be phallic and veined, but it is rather obvious where this is going to go at first glance, so I would not say it's very discreet, but it is very pretty.

This is waterproof, so if you are looking for some fun in the tub you could take it in there with you. I did check the battery compartment after washing the toy and it was bone dry. I did not submerge it in water however.

As I said above, there is only one bullet, located in the tip of the vibe. If you have a shallow g-spot, you will enjoy this. The vibrations are nice and it is rather quiet. Don't know if I would say whisper-quiet, but through a closed door, in or out of the covers, once it is in, it's not audible.

The controls are accessed by a push button at the base of the vibe. If you are using lube, you'll want to keep your "control hand" free and clear of the lubrication or you will not be able to hang onto the vibe. The smooth TPE and smooth plastic base makes for one slippery little sucker.

It's pretty easy to figure out how to use it, but it's not so easy to pump in and out. Even though it's really flexible, the bulbous area snaps back in place, meaning you have to reposition it. I suppose if it were to rotate, that would be OK because you would have no need to pump it, but it doesn't, so you do.

Two words: Lint. Magnet. Like everything other than plastic and glass, this material will collect dust. You want to wash it with warm water and soap or toy cleaner before and after use. Or, at the very least wipe it down with a toy wipe. You can store this toy in a pouch, toy box, or even a zipper plastic bag. You could, also, keep it in the box that it came with.

As stated above, this toy is not a TPE Silicone composite, just TPE, so you can use both silicone and water-based lubricants with it.

Surprisingly, this is the first toy I've received from Cal Exotics that does not have a picture of a busty woman or provocatively positioned couple. It comes in a plastic box with a plastic insert. You could easily store your toy in the box, if you wanted to. It's white, blue, and clear. It has the typical Cal Exotics information right on the box, so the box in and of itself is not discreet.

The tip where the bullet is could be good for clitoral stimulation but I have a Posh and a Little Honey that do the job quite nicely for me.

Well, if it wasn't clear, I was not able to orgasm with this toy in its intended manner. I'm sure if I used the tip to stimulate my clit, I would have had a nice orgasm, but we didn't even try. My Mister did turn it around to see if the bulb could at least stimulate my anus while using the vibrator, but it didn't reach either.

Seems to me that it's all out of my reach with this guy. He's really nice to look at, really fun to bend and twist and mess around with, but to get the job done, there might be better options out there. I would say that some of the products below might do what this is trying to do a little better.
