Deep dream - rabbit vibrator discontinued by Cal Exotics - review by wondertoes

Confession: Rabbit vibrators, before this one, were completely terrifying to me due to their look. I generally prefer simple, cute, and easy vibrators, but the Deep Dream is a great rabbit vibrator for a first-time rabbit user. After this, I'd be willing to try another one.

The design of this vibrator is cute and appealing with a watery dreamscape design. It has gentle curves and is visually appealing. This vibe is perfect for someone who doesn't like stimulation that is too intense and for someone who will use it for couple's play. Personally, I wouldn't use this by myself (I'd rather use it during sex with my husband), but it is suitable for solo play too.

This vibrator is not discreet, and it is what it is without question. It's clear that this is a sex toy no matter what. Because of this, it isn't the best for travel or places with a lot of people around.

The texture of this vibrator is smooth and it is made of TPE which is a material that is more porous than silicone yet less porous than cyberskin. It is phthalates-free, hypoallergenic, and latex-free. I like the way this feels combined with a water based lube; it glides in and out easily, and the smooth texture feels fantastic. If the lube is slightly cold, it adds an extra, unexpected sensation that is quite nice with this texture. Without lube it is slightly dry and will stick to the skin easily. Unfortunately, because of this material, it collects dust easily and will need to be stored in a box or container that does not allow it to come in contact with dust or debris.

I did not find this to have an odor unless sticking my nose against it. Even then, the odor is very slight. The box labels it unscented, and in general it is unless you are looking for a scent.

The material also allows the Deep Dream to be incredibly flexible causing it to move along with the body nicely.

The design of the Deep Dream is a typical rabbit design with a rounded tip and clitoral stimulation bulb. The entire vibrator is 7.5 inches long with 3.5 of these inches for insertion. This was enough for me. The bulb didn't really reach my clitoris unless I moved the bulb, but this didn't bother me since we used the bulb while the vibrator was outside of the body; however, if you need the stimulation from the bulb while the shaft is inside of you, this may not be the rabbit for you. The vibrations have three speeds, and they travel throughout the length of the vibrator which is a good thing because the bullet does not quite reach the tip of the material. Instead, it is buried about half an inch below the tip.

As for size, this is a good size for someone who wants a beginner rabbit vibrator as it isn't intimidating!

I do love how flexible this vibrator is, and my husband enjoyed testing its limits! It can actually bend right in half without breaking even though it takes some strength to get it in that position.

The shape and size are bulky for traveling, and it is too big to put in a purse unless you want people to know you are carrying it!

This vibrator has three different speeds, and the control button is located at the bottom of the Deep Dream on the blue plastic control pad below the silver ring. The silver ring is also where the battery compartment unscrews. It uses two AAA batteries that come installed. To change the batteries, simply tip the vibrator over, and they slide right out. I have not changed the batteries yet, so I'm not sure about the total battery life, but it is still going after a few uses.

The vibrations are intense, but the material seems to block some of the intensity. This is fine by me because I can't handle vibrations that are too much. If you like your vibrators to be very intense, I don't suggest this one.

The box advertises this vibrator as "whisper quiet", and I'd have to agree. The Deep Dream is quiet, and the noise isn't distracting during use.

I only observed the waterproof factor while washing the vibe, and the battery compartment was dry after washing it.

This toy can easily be stored in the clear plastic box it arrives in. That is what I am doing until I get a toy box because this material attracts dust, hair, and debris. Who wants to get their rabbit out only to find dog hair on it? Not me! Luckily, it is easy to wash with light soap and water or a toy cleaner. Do not use boiling water to clean this toy as it will be much too hot for the material.

It's also pretty big and takes up space compared to the other toys I have, so it does take up a considerable amount of space.

The Deep Dream arrives in a clear box adorned with hints of blue and an attractive white swirl design. The box also has some pretty cursive writing that matches the nice curves of the vibrator. The box is not cheesy like most sex toy boxes which makes it a nice gift box. The box is also appropriate for storage with or without the plastic frame it comes with to hold it up inside of the box. There isn't an overwhelming amount of directions on the box. There are some instructions on the side, but nothing is explicitly stated.

My husband and I loved this toy! We had a hot night the first day it got here, and we have been using it off and on since. It has really added a little something extra to our sex life that we both enjoy. This is my first rabbit vibrator, and as someone who doesn't like crazy looking toys, this one was just right for a first try!
