Delightful! Who says you should break tradition?

The Delight is at the top of its class as a clitoral vibrator, but lets itself down for internal use. Combine with other toys and tricks to get the most from this traditional vibrator.

useful review
When I unwrapped my Delight Traditional Vibrator, I was delighted to discover its similarity to my all time favourite vibrator - a robust, plastic dong. You see, I'm all about vibrations and nothing seems to transmit vibrations as well as a hard material, like plastic.

However my excitement was short lived when three seconds later I cut my finger on its metal box, causing blood to gush. Once I'd patched up my finger, I was ready to give the toy a test drive and once I had that baby pressed against me, I forgot all about my lacerated finger.

It has three speeds with quite a wide spread of intensities, meaning it caters for all manner of tastes. This is especially useful if you and your partner have different preferences (be sure to use it with a condom if you share). They're not the quietest vibrations in the world, but by God, do they feel good!

However despite its prowess as a clitoral toy, I was disappointed with the Delight's internal performance. For a start, the box says "should never be used for internal use," which begs the question, "why is it shaped like a willy?" We decided to ignore this advice and try vaginal use anyway. However we both found that the ridges, designed to enhance penetration, dug in to the vaginal wall, causing discomfort. Anal performance was thwarted with the same problem. [Editor's note: condom use is recommended for this use, as plastic is not sterilizable.]

Still, the Delight is wasted internally because the real fun comes from using it on your clit, so I advise using it in combination with a toy more suited to internal use, such as the Leo or Pure Pleasure Glass Probe. Alternatively your partner can use the Delight to give you that extra tingle whilst performing your favourite sex acts.

Because the toy claims to be waterproof, I tried, for the first time, pleasuring myself in the bath. Sure enough, the Delight was watertight, but the experience wasn't to my personal taste. I prefer to be somewhere more soft and less wet as I approach orgasm because I tend to tip my head back and arch my back. The key to getting the most out of your climax is to reach it without drowning.

The current fashion seems to be to make dildos from glass or silicone but ABS plastic also boasts hygiene and safety, being non-porous and hypoallergenic. The toy has a velvety, brushed texture which feels luscious against the skin and, coming in pale blue or pale pink, has a calming quality.

Because I've only had my Delight for two weeks, I cannot be sure of its durability. However it does feel robust and has no trailing wires or complicated moving parts, so I imagine it is built to last. Should it let us down, I'll be sure to post a follow-up review and trust me, this toy will be getting plenty more "test drives!"
Experience
Medusa recommends:

Tease your labia with your Delight on it's lowest speed. Put a dollop of lube on the tip of the Delight and use the top inch or two of toy to smooth the lube into the entrance of your pussy. Now hold your Delight against your clit and ease a silicone dildo into your pussy. Gently thrust the dildo with one hand whilst pressing the vibrator against your clit, gradually increasing the speed and intensity of both.
Follow-up commentary
Alas, despite its promising start my Delight has fallen prey to a lose connection. It only work about one in five times and often stops mid use. You can imagine my frustration at having my vibrator die just before I was about to reach orgasm.

At first I thought there was a problem with my batteries but after trying five sets of batteries (I really wanted that orgasm) and charging a pair especially, I realised that the problem lies with the toy and not its fuel.

The Delight did get quite frequent use over the 3-4 months that I had it but even so, I'd expected it to last a lot longer. I once had a similar vibrator that lasted me for 8 years. It would seem you just can't get the dildos these days!
