This vibrator has become a great addition to my collection. Its bell-shaped curve will have you writhing with pleasure! Durex Allure comes with a beautiful pearly purple pouch (yea say that ten times fast!) I appreciate the artfully crafted tapering of this vibe. Because of this shape, I found it to be great for people who need an introduction to penetrative sex. Not all of us are size queens!

My girlfriend and I have used this vibrator for clitoral, anal (though not recommended), and vaginal stimulation. Actually, my first time ejaculating was with this vibrator (and my girlfriend's help, of course.) I've used the Durex Play Allure for anal, though the toy does not have a flared base so I would not suggest anyone use it for this purpose as it is unsafe. It is best, at least for me, to use a condom on the Allure because some of your body fluids may seep into the power dial. Upon twisting this power dial, bacteria may resurface and that is not good, people! So, to avoid the mess, I just use a condom. You don't want to be admitted to the Hospital for exposure to E.Coli and having to describe the reason as to why you've had such an exposure. How embarrassing!

This vibrator is also great for nipple stimulation, my girlfriend says. I am not too fond of this type of stimulation but for her, it drives her wild! Me personally, I have my girlfriend lay beside me and insert the Allure very slowly. As she kisses on my neck and my lips, she slowly moves it in and out of my being. When I am at the peak of my arousal, I start to narrow at the vaginal opening, whereas she really has to make an effort to get inside :) That is when I begin to bare down and release the ejaculate. I didn't even know I could do such a thing until the Allure! It was incredible!

As far as clitoral vibrations, this is where the Durex Play Allure is lacking. The vibrations seem to be quite superficial and not strong enough to best suit my needs. To fix this, I use a bullet vibrator whilst my girlfriend is thrusting the Durex within me. The sensations are the most intense with this method.

All in all, if you're looking for breast stimulation or a vibrator to insert vaginally, the Durex Play Allure may certainly be right for you. If you are looking for strong clitoral vibrations, this vibrator comes up a little short.

There is no apparent smell nor taste to the vibe. It is extremely smooth to the touch and for this reason, it is great for beginners. The material is plastic, so of course, it is firm to the touch.

The Allure is made of plastic. It consists of food-grade, hypoallergenic, latex-free material. It is also free of phthalates. The dial that "cranks" up the power, so to speak, is purple. The actual insertable (about 4 3/4 inches length) is white. At the girth of the vibrator, it is about a 1 1/4" diameter and a little under 4" circumference. The Allure is operated by one double-A battery (and surprise, the battery is included!)

The Allure is dial-based, so cranking it up to the highest setting means that you will have to manually twist the dial to this setting. At some point, your hands may get too wet that you will not be able to provide enough traction to grip and turn the knob. Now, the highest setting may sound like it will do the job (yes, it is quite noisy,) but for the power-seekers like myself, the highest setting will not get you off. I use my handy dandy bullet for clitoral stimulation. The good ol' bullets never fail.

Another setback may be that the dial is also connected to the battery compartment. Sometimes I find myself cranking the dial to turn the vibe (either down or off)only to find that the battery compartment pops open! That can be a total let down if you are close to the finish line if ya know what I mean.

And for those who love variety, sorry, this is not for you. The vibe has one continuous guzzling vibration. There are no varied pulses of the sort. If you watch the video, you will hear the continuous guzzling vibration that I am referring to.

With the Durex Allure, I simply clean it with my handy dandy toy cleaner nestled inside my storage case (I'll do a review on that later.) I also use condoms, as stated before, to make for a more hygienic approach. As I said before, fluids may seep into the dial and resurface during sex sessions. With a condom, I can at least have double the assurance that 1) It is less likely that body fluids will seep into this cavity and 2) the toy will be able to be cleaned more easily.

To sterilize the toy, you can wipe the plastic body of the toy with a bleach/water solution or with rubbing alcohol.

I store the Allure in its pouch, and then in my storage case where it can lay nice and comfy with all the other little toys in my collection :)

The Allure had the most tantalizing packaging. The box was a reddish/purplish color and had a see-thru flap to display the Allure's features. Inside was the Durex Play Allure, a beautiful pearly purple pouch (did you say that ten times fast yet), a battery to get you started, and an instruction pamphlet. With everything included in this box, it makes you feel like a valued, treasured customer. And for the price, I'd say I've received more than I've paid for. The instructions were easy to follow and were more than enough to help me figure things out.
