Ipo 2 - finger massager discontinued by PicoBong - review by Lucidity

The PicoBong Ipo is a bullet, wrapped in silicon with a loop to put a finger through. This a great design for external use. It's perfect for the clitoris, nipples, penis, testicles and anal opening, but this little gem is not made to be inserted. The finger loop and seam would make it uncomfortable in any orifice, and if you stick it in your butt, it will be lost forever. It will also result in a rather uncomfortable trip to the emergency room. This is a toy made mainly for partner play, and it works really well for that. Even when I'm laying on my belly, the way the buttons are, it won't turn off, and because of the finger loop, it's not going anywhere, even when things get slippy. This toy is also great for solo time; I've enjoyed it both alone and with my partner.

I got my Ipo in black. It is a silicone cover with firm core. The silicon is that lovely, matte, silky stuff that doesn't collect lint like most silicone. It has no smell or taste and is very much body-safe. At the end of the bullet, there is a hard, plastic cap the same color as the silicon which twists off to reveal the battery compartment. The finger loop is a little tight with not much stretch, but it should fit on most people's fingertips; it can go down to my second knuckle on all of my non-pinky fingers. On one side the word PicoBong is embossed down the length of the bullet. It doesn't add any sensation, but it does add extra cleaning time.

I'll admit, the Ipo is a little bigger than expected, but still not massive. It measures three inches in length and about an inch across at the widest point (not counting the finger loop). The whole thing is shaped like...well, a bullet, really, or a torpid. It's more rounded on the back end, get's wider in the middle and tapers to a rounded point.

Here it is pictured next to a standard silver bullet, Chandra, the Crystal High Intensity Bullet 2 and a standard-sized bullet. It's not tiny, but it's absolutely small enough to fit in a pocket, purse or the palm of your hand.

The controls are pretty snazzy, and very unique for a bullet; there's a + and a - sign in the "B" and "P" in PicoBong. It takes some getting used to, but it's quite clever. You hold the + to turn it on, and both + and - to turn it off. The + button cycles through the speeds when held and the patterns when you press it and hold it for 2 seconds after it gets to the highest speed. The - button can go backwards in the patterns or speeds, but the pattern intensity cannot be controlled, you just have to cycle through to find one that works for you. The patterns are:
Slow pulse, fast pulse, faster pulse, roller coaster, faster roller coaster, backwards roller coaster, faster backwards roller coaster, roller coaster and pulsing, faster roller coaster and pulsing, then erratic pulsing and roller coaster. Ipo has a quite motor, it's quieter than most bullets, but it's not "whisper quiet". I probably won't be heard through doors or walls, but you'll know it's on. It runs on a single AAA battery, which I couldn't be happier about. I've yet to run it out, but we'll see how the life is.
The vibrations are more rumbly than buzzy, but remember, it is a bullet with just one AAA. Much better than watch batteries, but not crazy powerful.

Ipo is [mostly] silicone and waterproof. That means you can wash it in warm soapy water (don't forget the seam and lettering), use antibacterial toy cleaner or wipes, or it can be wiped down with a 10% bleach solution (make sure to clean that off before contact with your tender bits). Being silicon, it is not compatible with silicone lubricants. The packaging also suggest to steer clear of oil. So, water-based lube is best for Ipo, if you want to keep it in top-notch condition, that is. Because of the seam, and because the back is plastic, I would not share this with someone you're not fluid-bonded with. The whole thing cannot be sanitized, so share with caution (or not at all).

Ipo came in a cute, black, package. It had a window on the front to showcase the toy, but nothing raunchy. The package is recyclable and very classy. It also came with a six-sided die depicting a different PicoBong toy on each side. That's cute, but mostly useless unless you have all the toys, I wold have rather had a storage bag.

There's a minimal instruction booklet (but you get what you need to know) in a bunch of languages as well as warranty information.

I have to say, there are a few small things I was disappointed in with my Ipo. First, it's not as strong as I had hoped, and third, the seam between the battery compartment and the toy, as well as the embossed name could produce cleaning issues and places for bacteria to hide. Fourth, it didn't tell me which way to put the battery in (positive side up).

But really, if I could change just two things about Ipo, it would be to make it a touch smaller and a bit stronger. Even with the flaws, it's a great toy and between the modes, it should get most people off. Though to be fair, if you have a clit-o-steel, you may want to stick to a wand vibrator.
