The Laylani is one of the better bullets I have come across. Whether you're using it solo or with a partner, you're bound to get off. It's designed for external clitoral stimulation, and it works well for it. I've used it by itself with and without the sleeve, and in a cock ring. Personally, I think the vibe would work well for a newbie or a vibe vet. The vibrations aren't too shocking for a newbie, and aren't that low for a vet, like myself. It's four speeds definitely get the job done.

This is made out of food grade hypoallergenic plastic, with a smooth matte finish. The sleeve that comes with it is made from stretchy jelly and is latex free. It does have a bit of a smell, but it's not terrible. It reminded me of the smell of Carmex. Washing it a few times does reduce the smell if it bothers you. The sleeve has nubs that are supposed to add additional stimulation. The flowing top carries the vibrations, and feels terrific against the clit.

I adore the fact that the sleeve is designed to be a pineapple. It only adds to the exotic feel the manufacturer was aiming for. The way the leaves flare at the top works out well. Applying a little lube around the edges, and placing it against the clit was a nice build-up. It's about the same size as other bullets, maybe just a bit smaller. It's pretty discreet since the bullet does detach from the control pack. If someone stumbled across the control pack, I don't think they'd know for sure what it was unless they own one themselves! I definitely think this would travel well since it's small and discreet, and can be put in something as small as a pocket.

The vibrations are concentrated at the tip of the bullet, but because of it's size, they carry through the entire bullet decently. I like how it has multiple speeds, but I couldn't tell much of a difference between the hi and super speeds. Changing speeds is quite easy too. The control pack has a switch that takes a conscious effort to move, and that's a plus for me. I really dislike the bullet control packs that have a dial on the side to control the speed as many times I've been so close to the edge, and have accidentally moved the dial down! Not fun at all! I really like the fact that the control pack has dual jacks, so you can hook up more than one bullet at a time. It's just a shame that I haven't been able to find the pack of bullets.

Laylani isn't terribly noisy for a bullet. I've had a few bullets that were quite loud, so it was nice to have something a bit quieter for once. I put it against my clit, and closed my legs, and the noise was barely discernible unless someone was standing a foot away from me.

The package is a bit misleading as far as the waterproof claim goes. It says waterproof micro vibrator in a small text box across the top, but a box at the bottom says "Do not use while bathing or in the shower." I tried it in the shower, and had no issues, but I did make sure to keep the controller out of direct water spray.

This toy is pretty straightforward for care. You can wash it in hot water with antibacterial soap per the directions on the box, or you can use an adult toy cleaner. I prefer to spray my toys with Before and After, wipe, then rinse. I would recommend letting it air dry, especially the jelly sleeve to ensure it doesn't collect fuzzies or cat hair. I keep the jelly sleeve in a small bag by itself, and store both the bag and the bullet/control pack in my storage chest. Make sure to keep other jelly toys away from the sleeve in case of a possible interaction.

This arrived in the same box that is pictured, which was nice. I know some items do arrive in different packaging than what is pictured. The box was easy to open, and had instructions on the back of the box. However, I'm not too sure how useful some of the instructions are since they seem to contradict one another(upper part of box says waterproof, warning section says do not use in bath or shower). I don't think long term storage in the box is a good idea since the box is a plastic box, and could get ripped after opening and closing it a few times.

If you plan on using the sleeve, I would definitely recommend using lube. Since it's jelly, you can use water based or silicone lubes.

As far as my personal experience goes, it was a very nice bullet. The first thing I did was nestle it against my clit, and close my legs. I really liked the way it felt this way.
