From "Oh my!" to "Oh no."

The moral of this toy's story is "You get what you paid for." Although there are a lot of great things that can be said for this toy, I feel like every positive that I can come up with is immediately followed by a "But..." I'd classify this as a great toy that you can have a lot of fun with if you're on a budget or if you're just starting out, but if you've ever gotten your hands on some of the more expensive silicone products out there, don't be surprised if this toy disappoints.

Use

This vibrator is designed for G-spot stimulation and clitoral stimulation alike. It has three levels of intensity and three different vibration patterns. Its straps allow the wearer a semi- to completely hands-free experience. Due to the nature of the toy (it really should be strapped on for the best results), it might not be the best accompaniment to a night leading up to traditional intercourse, however handing the controller to your partner could lead to an exciting and enticing bedroom game in its own right.

Material / Texture

Jenna's G Pleasure really takes a turn for the worst when it comes to materials. Considering that this toy was so cheap (and I believe on sale when I purchased it as well), I personally have very little to complain about, but if you're considering purchasing this toy, know that it does have an incredibly sticky rubbery/plastic feel to the toy itself and the straps (see "Design, Shape, and Size" for my grievances regarding the straps). The toy also has a very strong "new plastic" smell to it, however I suspect that will fade over time.

The insertable portion of the toy is completely smooth. It bends a bit where it's connected to the base, but the thickness of the head gives the toy a firmness. This is great for G-spot stimulation as the bending at the base will give you the maneuverability that you need to hit just the right spot, but the firmness of the head will also give you the pressure to make finding and hitting that spot worthwhile.

The base of the toy is very flexible, so it will fit the shape of your body pretty well. I suspect that the nubs are supposed to intensify the vibrations where they touch the clitoris, but after the first few minutes, they mostly just left me feeling raw.

Design / Shape / Size

I love the shape of the insertable part of this toy, but it was a lot larger than I expected. This wasn't a problem once the toy was in, because the base is significantly smaller than the widest point of the bulb. This will leave you with that full feeling without also feeling like you're being too stretched, so if you enjoy one but not the other, this toy might be something for you to consider.

Likewise, the pad is curved to stimulate the clitoris. The pad does have enough give that it will conform to the minor differences between one body and the next. The only thing that I didn't really like about the design was the second "wing" on the pad which sits just a little too close to the anus for my liking. However, if you're flirting with the idea of anal stimulation or penetration but haven't really worked up to it yet, this might be more of a redeeming or enticing feature of this product than it is for me.

One could argue that the shape of the toy is "abstract" in an overall sense, but there really is no mistaking what it's used for. The wire that attaches to the bottom of the toy on one end and the controller on the other would be a give away even if the shape didn't, so it's certainly not what I'd consider discreet, and you probably wouldn't want to leave it laying around the house.

The one thing that drove me bonkers about this toy was the straps design. Due to the material that they're made from, it's extremely difficult to adjust the straps without the plastic getting caught up on itself. Trying to figure out the best way to pull the plastic strap so that it would adjust was about the last thing that I'd wanted to do before trying out the toy, so this was literally a HUGE turn off for me.

Functions / Performance / Controls

One of the things that I do like about Jenna's G Pleasure is that it has multiple settings and intensities. Unfortunately, I believe the product advertised 7 settings total, and I only counted six:

1) A low, steady vibration
2) A medium, steady vibration
3) A high, steady vibration
4) Cycling between the first three settings
5) Slow pulse on the highest setting
6) Faster pulse on the highest setting.

The seventh supposed setting is actually just setting number 3 again (I guess they figured that the high steady setting needed to be on there twice?). The settings are nicely spanned, the lowest is a good "warm up" level, and the highest is fairly intense (I found that setting 3 was actually too intense for me, as it made me go numb after a few minutes, but I don't currently have another vibrator to compare the intensity to). My personal favourite is setting 4 because it gives me some decent variation.

The remote control has two buttons: the bottom half is the on/off button. No matter where you are in the cycle, pressing this button will turn the toy off immediately--which is nice in case you have an emergency. You can cycle through each of the settings using the top half of the button on the remote control. Once you pass a setting, you have to cycle through each of the others to get back to that setting, and if you turn the toy off and turn it back on, you immediately start at setting 1 again. I didn't particularly mind this, but I imagine that for some people this aspect might be disappointing, as I know that there are several higher end toys that have a back and forth button.

Another thing that this toy has going for it is the fact that it's surprisingly quiet for how intense the vibrations are. I put the toy on the highest setting on a glass desk in my bedroom, and walked out and closed the door just to see if I could hear it, and was pleasantly surprised to find that I could barely hear it, even on the table, and I'm pretty sure that the only reason I could was because I was listening for it. I doubt anyone would be able to hear it provided that if you're actually using the toy as it's intended instead of sticking it on a table.

    • Easy to use

Care and Maintenance

This is a pretty low maintenance toy--which may explain why the producers didn't feel the need to include an instruction book on how to care for and clean the toy.

I cleaned mine with warm water and antibacterial soap before drying with a clean towel and storing it in my toy chest. Remember that this toy does have a cord attached to it, so you don't really want to submerge the toy for safety reasons.

On a positive note: the remote control on the toy detatches from the wire, so you ca disconnect the toy and not have to worry about it turning on if the button gets bumped or smooshed.
    • Easy to clean

Packaging

To be completely honest, my biggest disappointment with this toy was the packaging. The packaging is completely clear, for a start, so even if the big "Jenna's G Pleasure" on the front and back of the box weren't a dead give away to the contents, anyone could see through the plastic (and as previously stated, there isn't anything discrete about the way this toy looks). The packaging is really too flimsy to store thing in, even if it weren't see through, and it was a pain to get rid of without drawing my housemates' attention to it.

While the packaging is arguably a minor thing, what killed me was the fact that the product came with absolutely no instructions. Normally I'm the first one to give a giggle at the "state the obvious" instructions that you sometimes get with all sorts of items, but it would have been nice if they'd included a booklet that addressed the proper cleaning/storage/care procedures, and safety precautions.
    • Not discreet
Follow-up commentary
Basically as soon as I started to like this toy better it broke. The wire that connects the toy to the controller shorted out about the same way that cheap headphones do. I'd only used the toy about a half dozen times, so I'm going to say that it's definitely not a hardy or resilient toy.

Awesome review! Thanks for sharing. This looks so fun! I love the strap-on clitoral vibrators, but it's so hard to find the right fit. Thanks for the heads up on the size of this. I might have to pass because of that, but it sounds fun! I have the Jenna's Stingray one at the moment, but it's really tangled and I cannot seem to untangle it! lOL. Been thinking of buying a new one instead of messing with it. Thanks for the great review. I love all the info you included.
