Fun in the After-Nooner?

The Nooner, even with its bad points, would make a good toy for someone who is starting out with toys.
It's cheap, easy to control, has a great texture to the shaft, and can be quite a good external teaser for couples.

Use

The Nooner is a fairly small and moderately quiet toy. I didn't find it too great for insertion, personally, but if you like a slimmer vibe it might be perfect for you. The high frequency vibrations, although quiet, are very buzzy. But aside from that the Nooner made for pretty decent clitoral stimulation, even though it couldn't quite get me over the edge.

I would strongly suggest that this toy isn't used for anal play, even by very experienced anal players. The slim design with no real difference in size between the shaft and the base and lack of much of anything to grip onto would make this toy a high risk for being sucked in.

The Nooner is made from PU coated plastic and even though it has its bad points I still found something it is quite good at! The soft, velvety texture to the plastic on the small shaft and rounded tip made for great pin point stimulation other than down there.

Material / Texture

As I mentioned before, the Nooner is made from PU coated plastic, which makes it a very rigid toy. It is not safe to boil or bleach but toy cleaners and anti-bacterial soap can be used safely. And although this toy is very hard plastic, it isn't sterilisable or non-porous. Even though I would strongly suggest you don't try this one anally, if you must I would definitely use a condom. Also, if you are going to be sharing this toy even vaginally I would would a condom too so that you don't share bacteria along with the toy (unless you're fluid bonded, of course). It is phthalate free and can be used with water based and silicone based lubricants.

As for the feel of the material, I really like the smooth and somehow soft feeling of the obviously hard plastic. That being said the texture didn't add anything to the sensation of this toy internally but externally it made it much more pleasurable. The base however is a very shiny, slippery plastic and that makes it hard to grip onto. This toy has really no smell or taste and I think would be perfect for any user, beginner or advanced.

Design / Shape / Size

The design of the Nooner is a fairly common one. It has a long, slender shaft with a small base to house the vibration controls. But I wasn't impressed by how tiny that base is. It really gives you nothing more than fingertip room and even without lube the little base is quite slippery with the shiny, sleek plastic. I found that with lube I really had no hope of maneuvering this toy with any effectivness. The size of the Nooner is quite small and slim for me but it would probably make it great for beginners and those who enjoy small discreet toys. The Nooner would make a great travel vibe, easily packable or tossed in your handbag.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The Nooner sadly didn't get me to my destination any of the times I've used it so the performance as a sex toy was lacking for me. But I have found myself picking it up and using it for nipple stimulation and all over my breasts and chest. The buzzy vibes this toys gives off I found are great for making your skin and other places on your body tingle deliciously.

The Nooner also is fantastic for rolling over your neck after a stressful day or even your temples when you feel a headache coming on. I've used it a few times like this and I find it very relaxing, but if you have a busy household you might not want to be caught rubbing a floressent coloured vibe over yourself. As for noise, I personally don't think this toy is very noisy at all, I can't hear it under the covers or through a closed door at all. The Nooner is supposed to be waterproof but when I tried it in the tub I did find that some water leaked into the battery compartment. I mopped it out and let it dry overnight and it still works perfectly. But if you're worried about it, I wouldn't use it in water.

Even though the base is quite tiny and can be very slippery with even the smallest amount of fluid on it, with clean dry fingers this toys does offer very good control over the power levels with a simple twist to turn on dial that revs it up the more you twist it around. The vibrations start very low purr and slowly increase the more you turn the dial until it's at full speed and buzzing away like crazy.

Care and Maintenance

As I mentioned before the PU coated plastic is not safe to boil or bleach but can be used with anti-bacterial soap and toy cleaners. Rinsing under the tap I didn't find to be a problem even though when submerged water did leak in. But be aware that there is a small ridge between the shaft and the controls that can trap some fluids so I use a toothbrush and just give that little gap a bit of a scrub.

Silicone and water based lubes are fine for this toy but don't use too much or you'll find it slipping all over the place.

The Nooner is very very bright toy and even though it's plastic I keep it away from other toys in its packaging. It does collect a little dust, but mainly when it's still damp so it is probably ok to store with other toys.

Packaging

The Nooner came in a small, clear, plastic clam shell that I've found perfect for storing it in. It has very little information on the back but is over all ok since the vibe is very straight forward.

Personal comments

Overall, I thought the Nooner was a slightly below average toy. It's not waterproof like the manufacturer says it is, it's hard to keep hold of with its tiny slippery base, and far to risky to use anally. But its redeeming quality is that it gives great neck massages!
Follow-up commentary
Oh No, Nooner. It's such a shame that I just can't bring myself to enjoy this toy for anything, but a neck massage. Because it's small, discreet and perfect for travel, but no matter how many good points it has, I just do not like The Nooner. It has sat in my drawer almost since I wrote the review and doesn't really come out at all. I still stand by my thoughts about it being good for a beginner vibe because it's cheap and simple to use, but I don't think anyone who knows what they like will get much enjoyment out of this one.
