Aimed at the beginner’s end of the sex toy pool, this mini bullet is meant for exterior stimulation for either gender and can be used during solo or partner play. It is not waterproof, and therefore shouldn't be inserted or used in/near water. It’s tiny enough to hide in a dresser, cheap enough to fit anyone’s price range, quiet enough to not disturb the "neighbors", and a fun toy for someone who is just starting to explore the wide world of toys available. Don't expect this to last long though, because you get what you pay for. At $9, this toy is priced to be disposable; it's good for a couple orgasms, but after that, it's time for a new battery-operated boyfriend. I bought two of them, and they both stopped working within 10 uses.

The bullet and power/control pack are made of smooth, food-grade plastic, ranking an 8 on Eden's safety scale. It is hypo-allergenic, latex free, phthalates free, and as it is non-porous, can be easily sanitized. I didn't notice any scent. It has absolutely no give to it, but it's good for transferring vibrations. Since it has no texture and no seams, it is suitable for any experience/sensitivity level and easily maintained.

They aren't lying when they say this is a "mini" bullet. It's a little bigger than the size of my thumb, around an inch long and around two inches around, and I have tiny hands. However, as they say, it's not the size that counts. Because it's smaller, the vibrations are more concentrated and it's easy to hide away. However, there's no mistaking it for anything other than a bullet vibe.

The translucent plastic is a nice touch and makes this cheap vibe a little more visually appealing. I got both of mine in purple, but it's also available in red, blue, and pink. I did notice the battery cover was very shoddily constructed and I was scared I was going to break it every time I changed the batteries.

The cord is long enough for a partner to hold the reins and is permanently connected. However, the connections of the wire between the bullet and power/control pack were haphazard and best, and during normal external use, weren't even waterproof enough to stop natural lubrication from getting inside the body of the bullet, creating a safety concern.

This toy is designed with the beginner in mind, and is controlled simply by turning a wheel on the battery/control pack. It controls both the on/off functions and the intensity of the vibrations, and there is a red light that glows when you turn it on. For someone who is new to toys, it's a great thing to be able to set the intensity of vibration to fit your body, but on the highest setting, they might even overwhelm some. There are no fancy "pattern" settings, just plain, buzzy vibrations. It's quiet enough to use in a separate room, but it can be heard over the covers.

This mini bullet is powered by two AA batteries. There is a battery cover on the back to switch them out, so no fiddling with screwdrivers just to get your rocks off. Mine did not come with batteries, but with how fast it went through them, I feel it should've! Even though I only got around 6 uses out of my first one, I had to switch out the batteries twice. At least they were AAs, because I have those laying around.

While it lasted, it was great. However, after 3-4 uses, the wire cover started heating up near where the bullet attached to it, and it wasn't even waterproof enough to stop natural lubrication from getting inside the body of the bullet. After 6 uses, the first one I got died, and the same thing happened with the second. I don't really mind paying $1 for an orgasm, but if you've already tried a bullet and enjoyed it, then it's probably better to invest in something a little higher quality, such as a Mood Powerful vibe or an Evolved speeding bullet.

As mentioned before, this toy is made of hard plastic, rating an 8 on Eden's safety scale. Plastic is compatible with all types of lube, so you don't have to worry about this toy discoloring or being melted/otherwise damaged. Because it's not waterproof, wiping it down with toy cleaner is probably a better option than washing it with soap and water. If you do want to use soap and water, soaping it down with a scentless antibacterial liquid and then wiping it with a damp cloth would work. However, just to be on the safe side, it's probably best not to share this toy.

Due to its small size, it is small enough to tuck away in your panty drawer, or anywhere else where you'd like to hide it away. The hard plastic material does not attract lint or damage other toys, so it doesn't need to be kept in a case separate from other toys. However, make sure you remove the batteries before you store it.

While this toy isn't very sturdily built, it isn't bottom-of-the-line merchandise. Doc Johnson brand toys are generally very well designed and awesome. If this is the first Doc Johnson toy you have, then don't let it set your expectations for the brand lower.
