Fun with a learning curve

This beautiful vibrator was a bit of a challenge to figure out how to get it to work for me, but once, I did, WOW, did it deliver! With its sleek modern look, plush silicone, and unique pulsating action, this toy is definitely something different from anything else in my collection. Once I figured out it needed lots of lube, I found it intensely pleasurable, and the orgasms it can provide are incredible!

First impression

I've been intrigued by the various forms of thrusting vibrators since I first started shopping for my very first sex toy (which seems like ages ago, though it was actually only a couple months ago). After trying and loving two of Eden's thrusting rabbits (the Petite Dual Thruster and the Thrill), I was intensely curious about Fun Factory's line of Stronic pulsating thrusters. The Stronic G was the only vibrator in that line that Eden carried, and after looking on Fun Factory's website, I decided that it was indeed the most appealing offering in the line to me.

The Stronic G arrived on time in Eden's usual innocent-looking brown shipping box. Nosey neighbours or housemates will never have any idea of the nature of the contents of your package, so do not fear! Inside the shipping box was the box for the Stronic G. The packaging was classy, although not terribly discreet, as it featured prominent pictures of the product on nearly all sides of the outer sleeve of the package (while this vibrator doesn't look like a realistic penis, it's still quite phallic-looking, so there's no doubt it's a sex toy). However, this indiscreet sleeve slips off to reveal a chic-looking silvery gold box that only features Fun Factory's red logo in one place on the front, so if you wanted a more discreet box for gifting or storage, you can simply discard the outer sleeve and keep the classy inner box.

Inside this inner box was the Stronic G itself, along with an instruction booklet and a warning/information booklet (apparently the magnetic technology this toy uses can interfere with pacemakers, so if you wear one of those, you might be better off skipping this guy). The Stronic G was a beautiful, rich, Roman Emperor shade of purple. It was even more gorgeous in person than it was in the pictures on the product page. When I picked it up, I was immediately struck by how plush and squishy its silicone was. The core is obviously hard and rigid to contain its mechanics, but its silicone coating had much more give to it than the other powered toys I've tried. The G-spot targetting head was especially plush and flexible. I was also struck by the finish and feel of the silicone. It was very different from my other silicone toys. It had a sort of matte finish and had a fair amount of drag when I ran my fingers over it, and I immediately knew it would require lube. However, it still felt very soft and luxurious. It just wasn't as smooth and silky as I've become accustomed to for silicone toys. I could also already tell that it was a bigger magnet for lint and hair than my other silicone toys, but as I make a habit of wiping my toys down immediately before use (my house is covered in pet hair), I wasn't overly bothered by that. The toy had three buttons embedded in a silvery grey plastic base. One was red and had the word "fun" on it, and the other two had plus (+) and minus (-) signs on them.

The toy seemed to have arrived with a charge, so I followed the instructions on an insert to unlock the travel lock (hold down "fun" and the plus button to unlock, and then you hold down "fun" and the minus button to re-engage the lock) and began to cycle through the toy's various functions using the plus and minus buttons. It seemed to have a wide and exciting range of speeds and patterns of pulsating thrusts, ranging from gentle to energetic, and from steady thrusts in multiple speeds to patterns of varying complexity. At least one option also seemed to include vibration, which I though seemed very fun. I was shocked by how quiet the toy was. It was virtually silent, even when I was just holding it in my hand. Often thrusters and rotators, as much as I love them, seem to be on the louder end of the spectrum, but this toy is even quieter than my quiest plain vibrator. Definitely a great choice if noise is a concern for you!

All in all, I was extremely excited to take this bad boy for a spin, so I plugged him in to charge.

First Use

When the Stronic G FINALLY finished charging (he took MUCH longer to charge than any of my other toys), I carried him off to the bathroom sink for a quick wash. I like to wash my silicone toys with toy cleaner and rinse with warm water, but you can also use a mild soap and water. If you feel the need to sterilise silicone vibrators, you can wipe them down with rubbing alcohol or a 5-10% bleach solution (just make sure to rinse thoroughly afterwards, you don't want any of that stuff touching your sensitive bits!). You should NOT boil toys with mechanical parts or put them through the dishwasher, as the heat would destroy their mechanics.

I'll be honest, it wasn't love-at-first-use for me and the Stronic G. I warmed up with erotica and a clit toy, as usual, and once I was nice and wet, I coated the Stronic G in a modest coating of water-based lube (stick to water-based lube with silicone toys, it's best to avoid silicone-based lubes and most oils, though if you're unsure of compatibility, you can always do a spot-check in an inconspicuous part of the toy to see if the lube reacts badly with the material) and slipped him into my vagina. He slid in easily, and his size seemed perfect. (He has just over 6" of insertable length, and most of the shaft is roughly 4 1/2" in circumference, though it sort of flares out to a 5" circumference near the base.) I thrust him in and out a few times manually to ensure that I was comfortable and well-lubricated, and then I turned him on. Unfortunately, I just wasn't able to get a whole lot of stimulation. The thrusts that had seemed so powerful and exciting in my hand didn't seem to do much more than wiggle him slightly back and forth when he was inserted in my vagina. Even on the more intense patterns, he just wasn't doing much for me. I eventually managed to get off by helping him out with some manual thrusting and applying a clit toy.

My second attempt went much the same way. I just couldn't figure out why what seemed so intense in my hand felt so lack-luster in my pussy, and was beginning to think that this beautiful, fancy new toy I'd been so excited to try was turning out to be a bust. However, I wasn't quite ready to admit defeat.

Further Experience

After my first couple disappointing experiences, I spent some time just going through the toy's functions in my hand, trying to figure out what was going on. It occurred to me that the squishiness of the material and the flexibility of the head could be working against the toy having more impactful thrusts. It also occurred to me that the drag of the silicone material might require more lube in order to create more of a thrusting sensation. I hadn't felt under-lubricated; I'm pretty wet naturally (so long as I'm nice and aroused, which I was) and usually don't need more than a small drop of lube on the head of a toy to ease insertion. The Stronic G hadn't felt at all uncomfortable, but I thought that perhaps with more lube, things would go smoother (pun intended).

So I once again I grabbed the Stronic G, a clit toy, and found a sexy story on my phone. Once I was nice and turned on, I absolutely SLATHERED the entire shaft of the Stronic G in my Sliquid Sassy lubicant and tried again. More lube was definitely the answer. Suddenly, those unsatisfying wiggles started to have a little more impact. I fidgeted with the angle of the toy to try to position it over my G-spot. With most toys, I have to angle the toy upwards pretty sharply, and with longer toys, I generally have to only insert them partway, as my G-spot seems to be somewhat shallow. However, with this toy, that didn't seem to be working (which had been another problem I'd encountered on my first two tries). I finally just tried inserting the toy straight into my pussy as far as it would go.....and for some reason, that seemed to do the trick! It seemed like I needed to sort of over-shoot my G-spot in order for the head of the toy to move back and forth across it as the toy pulsated. I think it had something to do with the flexibility and broadness of the head on this toy, which is unlike anything I've tried before.

Once I had all that figured out, I finally started to really enjoy my time with the Stronic G. I was somewhat surprised to find that I really enjoyed some of the more complex patterns. For the longest time I thought I didn't like patterns, but more and more, I'm finding that it really depends on the toy. This toy has some extremely interesting and fun patterns that my G-spot really seemed to enjoy. I especially liked the one that started out with vibrations, and then progresses into thrusting that sort of increases in speed for a bit, then returns to the vibrations and repeats. I added my Satisfyer Pro Penguin to the mix while enjoying that pattern, and within about a minute of getting the Penguin situated on my clit and turned up to one of his medium settings, I had a very long, intense orgasm. It sort of snuck up on me, and slowly increased in intensity until I weas overtaken by one of those lovely climaxes that you feel all over your body. I don't have orgasms like that often or easily, so needless to say, I was suddenly very impressed with the toy I'd been thinking was a complete bust for me!

So ultimately this has turned out to be an awesome toy, but it definitely had a learning curve to figure out how to make it work for me. It's just so different from any of my other toys in its shape, materials, and functions. I am a little bummed that it takes SO much lube to make it enjoyable, mostly just because the lube I use isn't terribly cheap, but this toy can certainly deliver!

Vibration Map

This toy doesn't exactly vibrate (except on one setting it kinda does for a little bit), so I'm honestly not sure how to fill out the vibration map. I'm giving the head a 3, just because that's the part that provides the most stimulation. And obviously the whole toy thrusts, so that's why I'm putting the 2 and 1 on the lower part of the shaft. This map is great, but it's not really tailored to this toy's unique functions.
  • Very mild, low level vibration
  • Moderate vibration
  • Strong and easily felt vibration

Orgasm Intensity

Once I finally figured out how the heck to use it, I achieved an incredibly intense orgasm from this toy!

Follow-up commentary
I still really like this toy. I don't use it as much as a couple of my other thrusting toys, mainly because it requires so much lube, but I like having a thrusting toy in my collection that doesn't have a clit attachment, so I have the option to pair it with my favourite clit toys. I'm definitely glad to have it in my collection, even if it's not one of my most-used toys.

Glad you ended up enjoying it! Sadly, it is now discontinued on the site! I was about to see how much it cost. Great review by the way!

You know, it said this toy was discontinued a week or two ago....and then it appeared again, I ordered it as a buyout assignment, and then it said it was discontinued again. I'm not sure what's going on. I'm almost thinking there might be some sort of glitch where it says it's discontinued when it's really just sold out? Or maybe it really is discontinued, but they found a few more lurking in the warhouse and that's why it was briefly available again....? I don't know.

It is still available on Fun Factory's website (and they also offer it in two other colours)....but it does cost $169.99, so it's not cheap.
