G-spot vibrator discontinued

Great design, but lacking quality

The design of this toy is great, if the quality had been a little higher (better material, packaging, more intuitive order of settings) I'd definitely have given it 5 stars. The knob hits the g-spot easily, length and bend means it should work well for most people. Beginner friendly, unless you're afraid of girth.

Use

Lola is a bendable, vibrating g-spot toy. It works well for this, but doesn't really do much for other areas - the knob on the end makes it awkward to use for clitoral or body stimulation. There's no flared base, so don't use it for anal play!

I really think this toy would work for most people. The flexible section in the middle of the body means it can bend in whatever direction you want, so it can adjust to the shape of your vagina. Because it's a longer toy, it should be able to hit most g-spots - if you're on the shallower side, just don't insert it all the way. The knob on the end makes it really easy to hit your g-spot; if you're not feeling it, try curving the body in the direction of the knob. Thrusting works really well, the length makes it easy to handle, and the knob will keep hitting your g-spot.

The only potential problem beginners might have with this toy is with the girth, which gets a little wider towards the base, and the offset knob could make insertion slightly tricky. However, Lola is slightly tapered, and the knob is quite small and flexible, so with a bit of lube you should be able to make it work.

Material / Texture

Lola is made from TPR which is a reasonably safe material, but it is slightly porous, so make sure to use condoms if you're sharing. The top and bottom sections of the body are hard plastic under the TPR, as is the handle at the base. The TPR is squishy, especially the knob at the end and the bend in the middle; the ends over hard plastic are quite firm. The texture of the body is smooth, but the material has quite a bit of "grab" to it - I wouldn't like to use this without lube, but it's slippery and easy to insert once lube is added. Be careful where you store it though - it's a bit of a lint magnet.

There was quite a strong plastic-y smell coming out of the packaging, plus there was a sort of slippery coating on the toy - yuck. You definitely want to make sure to give this a thorough cleaning before using it! The smell is mostly gone now, I can only smell it when it's right next to my nose.

The texture shouldn't be a problem for beginners, provided you use lube.

Design / Shape / Size

Lola is designed to be a bendable g-spot toy. It has an insertable length of 6.5", a total length of 8.5", and a maximum diameter of 1.75". The knob on the end is roughly spherical, with a diameter just under 1".

The bend in the middle does bend, but not as much as I was expecting. It bends in all directions, but only about half as much as is shown in this image. While you can bend it more, the TPR coating folds (which I don't think is a good thing) and it won't stay in that position. On the other hand, if you don't bend it too far, it holds the position well, even when inserted.

The shape of the toy is quite well designed: the knob on the end makes it easy to hit your g-spot, and the longer length means that it can accommodate most vagina lengths - just put it in as far as you are comfortable with! The main problem with the knob is that the toy can twist sideways easily during use, so I find it often ends up pointing towards the side of my vagina instead of the front. The cylindrical handle doesn't offer much guidance for figuring out which side is the front.

Personally, the girth worked really well for me, wide enough to be satisfying without being too large. If the knob is making insertion difficult, I'd suggest bending the toy so it curves towards the knob. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone who prefers smaller toys, but if you like medium sizes this could be great.

I wouldn't call this toy discreet. It's transparent, so you can see the motor and the batteries, plus it just looks like a vibrator. It might work for travel since the buttons are difficult to hit by accident, but there's no lock mode. Personally, I wouldn't take this traveling because it isn't discreet, it's relatively large, and it could turn on by accident.

Functions / Performance / Controls

Lola has two buttons on the base of the handle: a power button and a mode button. You push either button to turn it on, the mode button to switch between vibration patterns, and the power button to turn it off. The buttons have to be pushed firmly, which is a little tricky with hands covered in lube, but other than that they're easy to use. There are 10 different vibration patterns - these are a little confusing, so I'm going to write them out:

1. steady vibration (high)
2. steady vibration (medium)
3. steady vibration (low)
4. repeating escalating pulses: each pulse rumbles and increases a little
5. steady fast pulsing (low)
6. steady medium pulsing (high)
7. steady fast pulsing (high)
8. steady medium pulsing (medium)
9. steady slow pulsing (high)
10. steady fast pulsing (low)

I'm not 100% sure these are entirely accurate, but you get the basic idea. The order doesn't make too much sense to me (why would you put steady high vibration before steady low vibration?), and you have to go forward to cycle through them, which is a little annoying. When I'm using this toy, I usually have no idea what setting I'm on, I just click through until something feels good. I do like the amount of variation there is in the settings, but a guide to them would have been nice.

That said, the vibrations are pretty strong! I was pleasantly surprised. The higher settings are maybe a little buzzy, but definitely not uncomfortably so. The motor is located in the head of the vibrator, just before the knob on the end, and the vibrations are strongest at that end. There is a bit of vibration near the handle, but because there's a soft section in the middle of the toy, the vibrations aren't nearly as strong there.

For the strength of the vibrations, Lola is pretty quiet. Even on high, I can hardly hear it through my covers. I have a roommate on the other side of my bedroom wall, and I have no worry about her being able to hear this toy.

This toy is marketed as waterproof, but that's not really true. I held the entire toy under running water while cleaning it, and a bit of water got into the battery case. While it might be fine in the shower, I definitely wouldn't want to try it in a tub.

Care and Maintenance

Lola is easy to clean with soap and water, and will work with toy cleaners as well. TPR can't be boiled (and you shouldn't boil electrical toys anyway), so keep this away from the stove. While the packaging claims it's waterproof, I'm dubious about this, so I wouldn't immerse this for cleaning, though it should be fine under running water. It's probably a good idea to check inside the battery case if you leave it under running water for too long though. Despite that, this is an easy toy to clean, but store it away from anywhere it might pick up lint if you want it to stay clean. Try to avoid contact with other toys while you're storing it - I made a cotton drawstring bag to keep it safe.

TPR is compatible with water- and silicone-based lubes, so make sure you're using one of these.

Remember, TPR is porous, so use a condom if you're sharing!

Packaging

Lola comes in a plastic case with a paper insert. Both parts are recyclable, but that's about the only advantage to the packaging. I suppose the large plastic case could be used for storage (it's resealable), but I don't recommend it, it would be a waste of space. The paper insert isn't discreet, it has a woman in lingerie, and says "Lola Orgasm Deluxe: 10 function, totally bendable, vibration/pulsation/escalation, push button base, 10 exciting functions, ultra quiet, waterproof." Definitely packaging that screams "VIBRATOR!"

Apart from that, there's no information about the toy at all. A guide to the vibrations would definitely have been appreciated. There's even inaccurate information - it says it needs 2 AA batteries when really it takes 3 AAA. (And I don't believe their waterproof claim.)

Follow-up commentary
While this isn't one of my favourites, I still like this toy—just less than I did before. The main problem I have with it is the vibrations—I find them buzzier than I originally did. They tend to make me come really quickly and unsatisfyingly. Other than that, my opinion about Lola hasn't changed.
