Bedroom Kandi Happiness and Joy is a rabbit-style vibrator intended for dual stimulation; internal and clitoral. This is the same toy as OhMiBod's Freestyle W, revamped in a beautiful pink and black color scheme and rereleased as part of Kandi Burruss' Bedroom Kandi collection. You may know her as singer/songrwriter, record producer and featured on Bravo's TV series The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Given her Grammy-winning background it's no wonder she teamed up with OhMiBod to release a music-driven line of toys.

In addition to its steady and fluctuating vibration patterns, what makes this toy really unique is its ability to sync its vibrations with the beat of the music that is playing. The silicone it is made out of is flexible and due to the clitoral attachment being present, it prevents any potential injuries to the cervix because in my experience, I haven't been able to thrust this toy too hard - at least not to the point of discomfort. This toy does not have a flared base, but the size of the clitoral attachment should make it safe for anal use. However, this is not what the product was intended for and I have not used it in this manner.

Happiness and Joy is relatively quiet. I've given it 3 bees as it was a bit louder than I expected, but not so loud that it can be heard through a closed door. I'm extra paranoid since I live with my parents, so whenever I'm using one of my louder toys, I'll often place a pillow over my crotch area to help muffle the sound. Trust me - it works!

The clitoral arm and insertable portion of Happiness and Joy are made of 100% silicone. It has a safety rating of 10 due to the material's tight molecular structure deeming it non-porous, as well as its ability to be sanitized. The base is made of plastic which makes this portion of the toy an 8 on the safety scale. Happiness and Joy is free of any taste or odor.


There is relatively no drag to this toy. Just a bit. It is very smooth to the touch. Pictured above is the only visible seam running along the top of the shaft, but it's very minimal and nothing that could collect any unwanted fluids. It is plush yet firm. There are two horizontal ridges on the top part of the shaft to give some extra texture, and these can be felt during use, but it's not overpowering or too intense.


When I was debating my purchase of Happiness and Joy, the photos gave me the impression that the clitoral attachment would be very stiff and perhaps even uncomfortable. When I received the toy, I was pleasantly surprised to find the clitoral attachment is firm yet flexible.

It is not waterproof, but its booklet says it can withstand a splash. It isn't very loud which makes it discreet enough to not be heard through a closed door. It can be used either solo or with a partner.

I found the size (including girth and length) to be pretty standard and well suitable for beginners and advanced users alike. Despite the fact that I typically go for lengthier and thicker toys, I have absolutely no complaints about the Happiness and Joy as far as dimensions are concerned. It isn't too tiny, but at the same time isn't too intimidating. It does not make me feel too full, but also doesn't leave me wanting more. The size is very satisfying.

There is no G-spot curve on this toy, but the nice feel of the silicone combined with its moderately powerful motors makes for a delightful experience. The only area of pinpoint stimulation Happiness and Joy offers is clitoral arm.

The Happiness and Joy has a very user-friendly control panel which faces right side up when the toy is inserted during use. The buttons are not hard to push, but requires enough force that I have never accidentally hit any buttons during use.


There are five buttons on the control panel. The top button is to turn the toy off. The buttons on the top left and right side are to turn the intensity of the vibration up and down. (There are three speeds.) The bottom left button controls the vibrator while it is not in music mode and must be pressed before using the up and down buttons mentioned above. The up and down buttons will take you through the three speeds of constant vibration and the seven preset functions. Last but definitely not least, the lower right button can be pressed to put the vibrator in music mode.



To use the vibrator in music mode is quite simple. Plug the adapter into your mp3 device or computer, plug your headphones in, pick a song to get your groove on to, and you're almost set. Turn up the dial on the side of the adapter (when it's on, you will be able to tell by a blue indicator light) and set it to the intensity you prefer. Lastly, push the music note button on the Happiness and Joy, and enjoy that beat!

The vibrations Happiness and Joy offers fluctuate from 2 vrooms at the lowest setting, and 4 vrooms at the highest. I typically go for toys with very strong vibrations and this toy did not disappoint me. This makes for a versatile toy that can be used by people who prefer either moderate or strong vibrations. The vibrations are not buzzy nor rumbly. I can comfortably say they are somewhere in between.

The preset patterns include the typical pulsating/rollercoaster vibrations in most toys with this feature. I didn't really think it was anything special, but then again, that feature is not why I purchased this toy to begin with so I wasn't really concerned with it.

As if all the options available weren't enough, Happiness and Joy is, in fact, rechargeable. Two hours on the charger will give you about 3 hours of playtime and up to 60 days on standby. The only portion of this toy that takes batteries is the wireless adapter for your headphone jack on your computer/mp3 playter, etc. It takes two AAA batteries.

Happiness and Joy is not waterproof, however, it is splash-proof, and held up to the test. It is important not to submerge the toy underwater as there are electrical ports and a control panel that probably wouldn't appreciate such close contact with H2O. But, if you want to ruin a $129.00 toy, by all means... (Ok, kidding, please don't do this!)

Since silicone is non-porous, cleanup is very easy as there is no chance it can foster bacteria. The only area that needs to be paid special attention to is where the silicone shaft meets the plastic base/handle of the toy. There is a tiny indent between the two materials, so while cleaning this toy, pay extra mind to this area in particuar. Due to its charging port, the toy cannot be submersed in water, but it is splash proof. My suggestion would be to use a toy cleaning spray then wiping it down with a damp cloth, or some of EdenFantasy's lovely toy cleaning wipes. The silicone portion can be cleaned with soap and water, but make sure you don't get the base of the toy wet while doing so.

Happiness and Joy comes packaged in a beautiful box, along with a silky drawstring "privacy pouch" - this is where I keep my vibrator stored as it is the most practical option. Plus, it's pretty!

It is important to note that silicone toys are not compatible with silicone based lubricants. There is potential for this combination to make your toy warped and tacky. Personally, I use a water based lube with all of my toys since it is safe across the board.

Despite the fact that silicone is non-porous, always remember to use a condom or toy cover if you plan on sharing Happiness and Joy.

This toy comes in a cardboard box labeled with the Bedroom Kandi logo. It also says "Happiness and Joy" and on the bottom of the box, OhMiBod.


The back of the box has a photo of the vibrator as well as key information points about it, such as charge time, features, etc. It's classy enough looking that it could get gifted in its original packaging.


Inside the cardboard box is a nice box with flip-top lid that had the Happiness and Joy and all its components. Happiness and Joy comes with the toy itself, the wireless headphone adapter (along with two AAA batteries), a silky drawstring storage pouch, an instruction manual and a wall charger to recharge the vibrator. In addition, there are 3 extra wall adapters. I am assuming these are for international use, as the shapes of the prongs on them look unfamiliar to me.

As a music lover, the Happiness and Joy is something that had to be in my collection without a doubt. It makes a great rabbit on its own and the music feature really does seem like an added bonus. If you're a music lover, and want to try a really unique vibrator to spice up your collection, I think Happiness and Joy just might be the right pick for you.

I've found out two things about this vibrator in its music mode - songs with a constant, heavy beat tend to make the toy stay in constant vibration throughout the song - which isn't necessarily a bad thing! Songs with a slower, steady and heavy beat seem to make this toy really shine. In addition, make sure you are listening to quality mp3s to ensure the best performance out of the Happiness and Joy - a lot of songs downloaded in lower quality (such as 128 or 96 kbps) tend to make the vibrations muddy. If you want the best results, I'd recommend going with either straight CD rips, or highter quality files such as those downloaded from iTunes or Amazon in a good, 256 or 320 kbps file format. It makes a world of difference, but that could just be the audiophile in me.
