The Hard Throb is a realistic vibrator|Hard throb - Realistic vibrator by Doc Johnson by Doc Johnson. This vibrator consists of a realistic sleeve that fits over a traditional multi-speed vibrator. I chose this particular vibrator for several reasons. I was interested in a realistic-looking vibrator. I was wanting to try a cyberskin realistic, but chose this one because it had several intriguing attributes, such as the length & battery power. I was interested in a vibrator with some length to it. This model intrigued me greatly when I read that it was available in 2 sizes, 7 inches and 10 inches. I liked the fact that it was powered by 2 C Batteries.

The first thing I noticed, when opening the package, was the smell of rubber. The realistic sleeve is made of rubber. The sleeve comes off, for cleaning purposes. One of the drawbacks of a toy made with rubber is the difficulty of cleaning. A toy cleaner or antibacterial soap should be used after every use. A condom can be used to extend the life of a toy & should be used if sharing the toy. I use lube with all toys, to make the play more enjoyable. Silicone- & water-based lubes are appropriate for this toy.

I was very drawn to the appearance of the Hard Throb vibrator. I chose the 10 inch model. The realistic sleeve is vein-like and textured. The head of the sleeve is a nice smooth pink head. It definitely resembles a nice big hard real dick. The sleeve comes off the vibrator easily, to make for easy, thorough cleaning.

The speed for this vibrator is controlled by a multi-speed dial at the bottom of the traditional vibrator. Due to the length of the vibrator (and the short length of my arms), it was not easy to adjust the speeds during play. I tend to set it on full blast and just enjoy the ride.

The 10 inch length is a little too big for me personally. I do enjoy having the option of a nice big cock (with batteries) if the mood hits me. While inserted, the vibrator was so long that some of the vibrator was not in my vagina. This lead to some uncomfortable moments during play. On the positive side, the extra length gave me something extra to hold on to during play.

The Hard Throb vibrator uses 2 C batteries (not included). I think vibrators that are powered by C batteries emit a strong, deep vibration. It definitely provided for some good throbbing vibrations. Unfortunately, this vibrator did not provide the vibrations needed to give me an earth-shaking orgasm. I have not received an orgasm from playing with this toy alone.

When I play with my toys, I tend to use several at one time. This vibrator did not lend itself well to being used with other toys. Due to the rigidity of the Hard Throb, it was difficult to use this while using another toy for double penetration. This greatly disappointed me.
