Holiday ball gold duckie - discreet massager discontinued by Big Teaze Toys - review by Red Vinyl Kitty

This is an adorable little semi-discreet vibrator which is waterproof and very powerful for its small size. (Thus, the Hulk reference!) The duck itself is adorable and very festive with its holiday gold color. The matching ornamental ball it comes with is very disappointing, and will not support the weight of the duck if you wanted to use this as an ornament.

I got this duck myself because I collect rubber ducks, and I thought this would be an adorable addition to the xmas tree. The ornament didn't work out (more on this later) but the duck itself is wonderful, and I recommend it to anyone who enjoys whimsical and discreet toys. It's not really intended for insertion, but works wonderfully externally.

The duckie is made from rubber, so you can use either water based or silicone based lubricants with no worries. The gold finish on the duck is not 100% smooth and has a couple of patches where it looks like someone picked it up before the "coating" set, if that makes sense. I can almost make out finger prints on it in a couple very small places. While my fingers do notice a slight "roughness" in these areas, my clitoris did not notice.

The duck has no taste at all, but does have a very slight rubbery smell if you put the toy directly under your nose. This is nothing you'd notice though without TRYING to notice it.

This toy is shaped.. Like a duck! The duck itself is small, and fits comfortably in my hand. I like to hold the duck by the head and rub the tail on my clitoris. If you're the type of person who enjoys pin-point stimulation, then you will love the ducks beak! The entire duck is rigid with no give to it at all.

Chances are good that if you have this toy out and just sitting upright outside of its ball, no one is going to know that it is anything other than a very cute little duckie. Due to the control dial on the bottom of the duck, it sits slightly tilted forward. This isn't very noticable to anyone, but I thought it would be worth mentioning.

The duck has a dial on the bottom to either turn the vibrations on or off. There's only one speed, but it is pretty intense for such a small toy! I would give the Holiday Ball Gold Duckie a 3.5 for vibrations, if we could give half stars. The vibrations are of the "buzzy" variety, and can be felt easily throughout the entire toy. It takes only one battery which is locked up with an O ring, and I have yet to see any water leak into the battery compartment. Add this to the very small list of toys which are truly waterproof!

The noise level on this duck is minimal. Under the water, it is very quiet, and I doubt that anyone would hear you playing outside of a closed bathroom door. Out in the air, you're probably not going to be able to hear this if it is under sheets.

The Holiday Ball Gold Duckie is made from rubber so unfortunately it is porous, and not suitable for sharing. :( This means you will never be able to sterilize it. You can use an antibacterial soap and water or a toy cleaner to help make things better, but remember your toy will never come completely clean. :(

Rubber is compatible with both silicone or water based lubes though, so take your pick! :)

This toy is really only discrete if you store it outside of the hard plastic ornamental ball that it comes in. The front of the ball says "I RUB MY DUCKIE WATERPROOF MASSAGER" in big letters. Anyone who gets up close to the tree (If you choose to use the duck as an ornament) will see this. The ball itself is SO much bigger than the duck that it'll probably be the biggest thing on your tree, and if it isn't, it is still going to get quite a bit of notice.

My husband and me live alone, and were planning on using the duckie as a naughty ornament. This did NOT work out for us, unfortunately. I don't have a tree yet, so when I got this I held it in my hands just from the string, to see it. Unfortunately the string fell right out of the toy and the ball fell right onto the floor, where it cracked. :( Because of this, I don't recommend using it as an ornament.
The ball itself is so large that I cannot fit it comfortably in my hands. The duck also comes with a see-through plastic container which you could store the entire ball in if you like.

In order to get the duck out, you're going to need to unscrew the small circle at the top of the ornament and the ball will easily split into two pieces. The duck will initially be tied to a base and you will need a knife or scissors to cut through and remove the toy. After that, the duck will just sit on this base inside the ball, like a "shelf". The "shelf" slides back into the ball into a small groove which helps it stay secure.

My duck has a new home in the bathroom on the edge of the shower, with all my other rubber ducks. This one is totally waterproof, so it has suffered no ill effects because of this.
