This toy can be used for solo play and couple play. The toy is meant for use on either for clitoral stimulation or vaginal stimulation. (Or anal stimulation, specifically for rimming. It would be a bad idea to actually insert this toy up your butt because it may get stuck). This toy should be in every toy box, for both beginners and advanced users. I rarely say that about any toy but it is simple enough that a person that is new to toys can experience wonderful orgasms without any confusion or users' manuals, but advanced enough that someone who is experienced with sex toys can get off on the many levels of power that this toy offers.

This toy is made of plastic, which means it is generally body-friendly. It feels a bit like an aluminum toy, but is nowhere near as heavy. It does not have any texture, but I felt that the lack of texture is what made it so inviting. I like textured toys, but there were times when I would be in the mood for something smooth, and a bit cold to the touch, so I would call on this little friend to help me out. This texture is perfect for beginners, because I'm sure many beginners would be intimidated, or possibly even harmed by toys heavily laden with texture. The texture is also perfect for advanced users as well, because if the user wishes to masturbate but desires a simple toy with the potential of a lot of power, this toy makes that readily available. It does not have a smell to it, which of course is always a wonderful trait about a toy.

It also has the potential to be made cold; what I would do it is stick it in my refrigerator and wait about an hour or so, and voila! It was ready for some temperature play. I would NOT recommend using this for warmer temperature play, simply because I cannot think of a way to make this toy warmer without potentially damaging it.

The material is also very firm and solid; if you do not wish to bruise your vagina, do not ram into yourself very hard! However, I would not say it is as firm as glass or metal, but much firmer than silicone or jelly.

What a beautiful shape! I personally love the design of it; it is simply a large, smooth barrel that can be used for fucking. It is not so simple that nothing can be felt, but not so complex that instructions are needed to supplement the toy. This toy can be maneuvered for G-spot/P-spot stimulation.

The length of the toy is 7.5 inches long, with an insertable length of 6.5 inches; the insertable length is a bit longer than the length of an average penis. The circumference is 4.75 inches and the diameter is about 1.5 inches; the diameter is about the same diameter of the average penis. I like the length and width of this toy because it gives the user a little more than traditional vibrators, but not so much that it could be uncomfortable, or worse, injure them. I feel that the size is appropriate for both beginners and advanced users.

I don't feel like this is the most discreet toy ever, unless you are exhibiting the toy to someone who is completely and utterly naive. This toy is wonderful for travel though; it's small enough that it can fit into most women's purses and can for sure, fit into any luggage container. It is not small enough to slip into a pants pocket, unless of course, you have really deep pockets.

This toy has a multifunctional dial at the base, which is very simple to maneuver; you can change the dial in a few seconds with the hand you are not pleasuring yourself with, or with your partner's hand, if that is readily available. (If you have read any of my prior reviews, you may know that I usually detest dials, but for some reason, I like the dial on this toy—major plus!)

It runs on batteries, which are not included with the toy.

The Ultima has many levels of power; its low power is truly low, which is perfect if you have genitals that are sensitive to extreme vibrations. This toy also has the capability to be incredibly powerful at its higher setting. It takes only a few seconds for this toy to reach its highest settings—other toys can take a while to heat up, and I really enjoy that I never had to wait long to reach a satisfactory level of power.

It is on the noisier side; when I had it, I was living in a dorm and I'm sure when I used it on its higher settings, my roommate could hear me. (I used it in our restroom while she would be in our bedroom.) The lower settings are much more inaudible and cannot be heard through doors and walls, but can be heard through bedsheets. All in all, I would not recommend using this toy in public.

It is not waterproof or splashproof! Unfortunately, I forgot about this when I used it in the shower one time, and thus, my beautiful vibrator was no more. So, I repeat, do NOT use this in the shower, tub, or anywhere wet!

I loved how easy it is clean to clean this vibe; all you really need is some warm water (keep away from the battery pack!) and soap. You can also use rubbing alcohol, toy wipes, or toy cleaner to clean this product. Do not bleach or boil your toy because it will die forever and ever, and you will have to get another one.

I stored this toy in my suitcase, and it never attracted any lint or dirt, which I find is an absolutely wonderful attribute of any toy. I always cleaned it before play, just as an extra precaution.

This toy is compatible with silicone and water based lube. Unfortunately, I cannot tell you if it is compatible with any other lube because I never had the chance to try it.

Because of the safeness of the material, it is not dire to use with a condom, but just for safety's sake, I would use one anyway, especially if it is to be shared with a partner or another individual.

It's a superb toy; I wish it was waterproof though. Because it does not have a flare base, I would not recommend this toy for anal use.
