Purely decadent - rabbit vibrator discontinued by Cal Exotics - review by Ajax

The Purely Decadent is a rabbit vibe meant to be used for dual stimulation of the g spot and clit. Since it doesn't have any curve to the shaft I wasn't able to hit my g-spot, but it did provide a small bit of internal stimulation. It is not build for anal play and will provide nothing in the way of nipple stimulation.

This toy is best used for solo play, but having a partner use it on you can be just as enjoyable. It is completely waterproof which means it can be used in and out of the shower.

Out of the package the toy smelled quite strongly of what reminds me of nail polish remover. There were no visible powders or residues and after a quick wash the smell reduced to almost nothing.

The shaft and clit attachment are both made of a plushy TPE while the base controller is made of ABS with metallic plating. TPE is Latex free, Phthalates free ask well as Hypo-allergenic. It is really flexible and soft making it easy to insert and very comfortable to use. The TPE is completely clear, but there is color in the beads, bullet and base/controller of the toy which are all purple.

The TPE on the shaft of the toy swirls right from the controller to the tip of the toy, but is completely smooth otherwise. The clit attachment has very light texturing to make it appear as though it has feathers. You won't be able to feel the feathery texture when using the toy.

The shaft of the Purely decadent is straight with no g-spot curve. The material spirals from the base to the tip in a swirly pattern which provides light sensations while in use. The clit attachment that protrudes from the front of the toy is shaped like a humming bird which I thought was very cute and added greatly to the aesthetic appeal. There's a fair amount of detail on the bird with texture that looks like feathers, two wings, a thin pointed beak with 9 tiny bumps on the underside and two small eyes.

There is a fat purple bullet inside of the humming bird and small round beads attached to a spinning metal rod in the middle of the shaft. The TPE over the beads is much thinner than anywhere else on the shaft. this is to make it easier to feel the beads as they spin. At the top of the rod is a small white rubber piece that makes the head of the toy wiggle when the toy is turned on.

The entire toy measure 10" from the bottom of the base to the tip of the head. About 5" of the shaft is insertable. The shaft is 1 1/2" in diameter. The humming bird (which was a little harder to measure) is 3 1/2" long from the tip of it's beak to where it protrudes from the rest of the vibrator.

The Purely Decadent vibe runs on 3 AA batteries. The battery housing slides in and out of the toy very easily and will only fit into the toy one way so there won't be any confusion when putting it in.

The purely decadent vibe has three rotation speeds for the beads in the shaft as well as three vibration speeds for the clit vibe. The levels of each are simply Low, Medium and High. There are no fancy patterns, but the shaft rotation direction can be reversed which is pretty cool.

The controls for the rotation and vibration are clearly labeled on the toy which I found to be very helpful. The levels are changed by simply pressing the up or down arrow for the part you want to control and the rotation direction can be changed by pressing a round button located just above the arrows. There is no on/off button you just use the up arrow to start the lowest vibration.

Since the clit attachment and shaft each have their own controls you can choose to run them separately (one at a time) or together (at the same time).

There is a motor in the base of the vibrator which moves the beads in the middle of the toy and the piece in the top of the toy. The vibrations from the motor can't really be felt in the shaft or top of the toy, but the movement of the shaft is still enjoyable. The bullet in the clit attachment is short and stubby. It kind of floats right in the middle of the TPR. The vibrations are decent - strong enough to bring me to orgasm every time. I wasn't able to sit it on my clit or direct the pressure very well, but because of the size I found that it bumps up against the clit quite nicely.

The toy over all is pretty quiet. The bullet can barely be heard even at it's top speed, but the rotation of the beads is a quite a bit louder. Someone in the same room as you would definitely hear the rotations, but if the door was closed you'd have nothing to worry about.

Since this toy is made of TPE and plastic it can be used with either silicone or water based lube. The box says to ONLY use water based lube though. It is really easy to clean with either warm water and anti bacterial soap or your favorite toy cleaner.

I personally like to wash my toys with soap and water even if I've used a toy cleaner on them because the toy cleaners can sometimes leave behind their own residues and such.

I store my Purely Decadent vibe in the box it came in, but everyone has their own way of storing their toys. A larger toy bag would do the trick or placing it in a toy box/drawer would work also. Just make sure wherever you store it it's not resting directly against other toys - just in case.

The Purely Decadent rabbit vibe sits inside of a clear form fitting plastic insert which slides into a clear plastic box. The insert keeps the toy from moving around in the box. The box has a large picture of the rabbit on the back and the toy itself can clearly be seen from the front and sides of the box making it in no way discreet. The front of the packaging lists a few of the features of the toy (water proof, non jamming beads, 3 speeds) and the back labels the different parts of the toy (controls, led lights, rotating head). The bottom of the package gives you material information, battery usage as well as lube compatibility.

The packaging is nothing special so unless you want to keep it around for storage purposes it can be tossed.

I'm really quite fond of the Purely Decadent vibe simply because it's been able to get me off quickly every single time I've used it. The main reason I've been able to orgasm using it is because of the way the humming bird bumps up against my clit when I thrust the toy in. I didn't really notice the wings or the beak when I was using the toy. I think they're mostly there just to be pretty. I also couldn't really feel the beads in the shaft unless I was squeezing tight on them, but the wiggling of the head when the rotations were turned on felt very good. If I was able to improve anything on this one I'd probably make the swinging of the head a little more severe. This was one vibrator I found really enjoyable to use. The controls were easy to figure out and cleaning it was a cinch.
