Cliterrific cup - rabbit vibrator discontinued by Doc Johnson - review by K101

The Cliterrific Cup is an awesome toy both for beginners and advanced users. At 5" being insertable, a 4" circumference, and a diameter of 1 1/4", it's not exactly large, but it's sure to please. The Cliterrific Cup is a "rabbit-style" vibe with the insertable shaft and the large nub as a clitoris stimulator. The "cup" is better described as a spoon on the end of the vibe. Like I said, the vibe isn't large, but I am more than satisfied with its size. The jelly material it's made of allows easy in and out gliding with little give, so you're able to feel every bit of it. The Cliterrific Cup is waterproof and holds up very well in the water. It's perfect for water players.

Beginners will more than likely find it more than satisfying as would advanced users. Unless you absolutely have to have a very large size to be satisfied, I would say this toy would prove to be more than pleasurable. It can be used solo or with a partner. It's simple with no hard work or experience required and is a fun tool for foreplay.

The box it comes in says it is made of PVC. However, on the product page it states that the material is jelly. All of my toys are jelly or silicone and I've never felt a jelly toy like this so I'm kind of leaning towards the box being correct when it says PVC. I never used PVC until this vibe and it's totally blown the normal jelly and silicone out of the water. I have a very hard time finding vibrators that are small enough to slide in with no pain and an even harder time finding ones that don't grab your lady bits and drag. This one glides right in easily with no drag or grab. It's small enough to go right in without pain at all while still giving you plenty of pleasure on the inside. The vibrator had a bit of a plastic-y scent when it was taken from its box, but it wasn't near as bad as most jelly or some silicone. After the first use with the toy, the scent was drastically lighter. After the first wash, it disappeared completely. The scent wasn't at all bothersome or overpowering.

Since some do find taste an important factor when looking for a vibrator, I decided to go the extra mile and give it a lick to report back. Good news, no taste whatsoever!

There's really not much texture to the toy except for 5 barely protruding ripples or "ribs." The first 2 are right underneath the "cup" which is at the end. The 3rd is further down the shaft right where the clitoris stimulator connects with the shaft. The rest are near the base and do not go inside. Upon first looking at it, I wondered if those little rings would cause irritation, but they aren't even noticeable. It seems they may just be for looks. And for those who care, the toy seems to be seamless, but I am able to see a tiny little line in one side which may or may not be a seam. I can't even feel it while running my fingers across it.

The design of the toy is outstanding. While I was using it, I tested it different ways to see how well the clitoris stimulator would work for different shapes. Of course it's a bit hard to do, but with the nub being fairly large, it seems it will be able to find its way to any clitoris no matter what your body's shape is. I wanted to test that part because I've wasted money before on rabbit style vibes where the clitoris stimulator wouldn't even touch the clitoris while inserted! I'm very sure this one won't be able to miss it.

As for the discretion of this toy, I would say no, it isn't exactly discreet. Weighing only 0.5 pounds, it's very light and easy to hide in a suitcase under clothing. It isn't bulky so it stores and hides well. But if someone happened across it, there's no mistaking its identity. While this toy won't fit in your front pocket or a small purse, it's very light and can easily be wrapped in a cloth or T-shirt and tossed inside your bag.

Since the clitoris stimulator is a bullet vibe housed inside a thick "nub" of jelly, the vibrations are their strongest right in the nub. It's thickly coated with jelly which makes it larger and easier to reach every area of your clitoris. I didn't expect the vibrations to be as powerful as they are! The shaft doesn't have a vibrating bullet inside of it, but you can feel them throughout it. The very tip (where the spoon-like "cup" is) doesn't have any vibrations. I thought that it would be nice if the cup had vibrations, that way you could "cup" the cup over your clitoris for warm up. Even without it, the toy is beyond satisfying. It's easy to use, even for someone who's never used a toy before. I did give it a try in the water and it is certainly a toy water players would love! With that being said, yes it is waterproof. Like all waterproof toys, it has a clear O-ring where the battery cover screws on & off. I did submerge it fully under water, tested everything out and it worked like magic!

You can use whichever combination of rotation and vibrations you choose which I enjoy, but I just ain't crazy over rotation.
It doesn't seem to be a battery sucker and the vibrations are intense on the highest setting and powerful on the lowest. I love the powerfulness. This toy takes 3 AAA batteries.

When I felt the vibrations on the lowest setting first, I was shocked at how quiet it was. Then we turned it up to its highest and it was still nearly silent. The shaft rotates both clockwise and counter clockwise. The push button settings are all located on the base. To power the vibrator on, you can press any one of the arrows. One is labeled "R/S" for rotation and speed. The rest is labeled with arrows: "^" and "v". There are 5 buttons on the base where you control the settings. One button is the R/S (rotation/speed). When pressed it has 2 options: rotate clockwise and rotate counter clockwise. The other 3 are the arrows. Press the top left arrow once for a slow rotation, twice for a faster paced rotation and 3 times for the fastest rotating setting. The arrow button directly below that one decreases rotation speed. Above each set of arrows are 3 little lights that light up an orange/yellow color. When pressed once, one light will be lit up. Press twice for faster rotation or vibration and 2 will light up, 3 times (which is the highest) and all 3 lights will be lit. This goes for the other set of 2 arrows (an up and a down) located at the right for vibrations. To turn rotations off completely, simply press the down arrow. The rotations weren't mind blowing for me and on rotate it does make quite a bit of noise, especially on the highest setting. It's not terribly loud and it won't be heard through a closed door with a TV or air conditioner on for extra protection. When it's only on vibrate, it's virtually silent.

The built-on control pad is located on the front of the base which is super easy to use. The 5 buttons (4 being up & down arrows) make it so much easier than having a cord-attached controller.

The shaft has a white plastic stick that runs all the way to the end (cup). While slightly bending the shaft, it won't bend the stick, but with enough pressure you could snap the inside stick that rotates the shaft. I didn't try it, but it seems it would take serious pressure and it certainly won't snap while using it.

To best care for the Cliterrific Cup, it should be stored alone without direct contact with other toys (possible degrading to the material may happen). It should be stored in its original packaging, a bag or something similar. It can also be wrapped in a cloth or T-shirt and stored in your toy area, closet or drawer. It doesn't take up a lot of room even in its box, but the box isn't very sturdy. I chose just to stick mine in a large organza like bag and toss it in my box. Be sure you take out the batteries before storing and keep in a cool, dry place.

To clean the toy, use mild antibacterial soap and warm water or a toy cleaner if you prefer. This toy is very easy to clean. The ribs can be cleaned easily as well. A warm cloth will provide extra cleanliness for those who like to be extra, extra careful. Simply soaping it up and using my hands with warm water works perfectly for me.

This toy is porous so it should never be shared. If you must though, always use a condom for each and every use!

TIP: Always remove batteries when toy is not in use! Never get water inside the battery pack.

The toy arrives in the regular white, discreet box with the toy inside. The toy's packaging is clear with words like "Multi-function!" "Waterproof!" "Rotating shaft" etc. In the back corner, it gives a pretty informative description with little pictures showing how it rotates and describing all of its functions. It says Doc Johnson and the name of the toy as well as "Masturbator." I was super pleased that the packaging contained nothing of bad taste and no nudity. I really like that. The original box it comes in isn't large compared to most but extremely flimsy. The day I got mine my partner sat on the box and squished it. It was a goner.

I love everything about the Cliterrific Cup (obviously!), but it may not provide an extreme amount of G-spot stimulation. The cupped end is not curved so it may not be easy to reach every woman's G-spot. I have a pretty easy one so I did get additional pleasure from it, but I was more excited with how great the thing worked just being inside with the clitoris stimulator going.

For extra help getting it to hit the G-spot well, we found that resting my behind on a fluffy pillow or on my partner's lap and inserting the vibe with a slight tilt (toward G-spot) worked amazingly.

The Cliterrific Cup quickly became my favorite toy. My partner and I both are enjoying each use. This is definitely a toy I'll purchase immediately if anything were to happen to it. I am beyond impressed with it. To be totally honest, it's even blown my regular old rabbit out of the water. The Cliterrific Cup is outstanding especially for such a small price!

NOTE: Earlier in the review, I mentioned how the rotations of this vibe didn't do much for me. I've actually never been too intrigued by any rotations until today! I wanted to come back now that I discovered this and edit it in the review. I decided I'd just note it here. I spent quite some time with this vibe lately and just today spent a while using the rotations and discovered when I hold the base firmly, I am able to feel the rotations very well and that lead to an amazing experience! I absolutely love the rotations now! I thought it may be important to add that if you're holding the base very loosely while using the rotate settings it seems the bottom is what rotates rather than the shaft that is inside. So while holding the base firmly in my hand the shaft was able to rotate inside while the nub vibrates on your clitoris. Just when I thought I couldn't love this vibe more!
