Kangaroo

The Kangaroo falls short of what is expected of a good vibrator. The porous unsafe material and loud buzzy vibrations are two strikes against this cute Kangaroo. I prefer the Rabbit Pearl by Vibratex over this one.

Use

The Kangaroo by Vibratex is a rabbit vibrator. It is best used for vaginal penetration with simultaneous clitoral stimulation. It can be used for G-spot stimulation if your anatomy fits, but I have never used it exclusively for G-spotting. I used this vibe solo, the control pack makes is simple to change settings while the toy is being used. It can also be used with a partner. The only place this toy should not be used is in the shower or tub, since it is not waterproof.

Kangaroo is not very discreet or travel friendly. The vibe does not have a lock on the controls so it can turn itself on easily. I would remove the batteries when traveling. The size of the control pack and the fact that it is attached to the vibrator by a long wire can also be cumbersome to pack. Kangaroo is not waterproof or completely non-porous. These are two major problems I have found with this toy.

Material / Texture

This vibrator is made of Jelly which has a safety rating of 2. Jelly is poly vinyl chloride or food grade vinyl. Jelly toys may contain phthalates which are chemicals used to soften plastics, are very porous, and can harbor bacteria. Upon opening the package I noticed that Kangaroo did not have a rubbery smell, which is unusual for jelly toys.

Kangaroo's texture is smooth and velvety. It is not shiny or soft like most jelly toys. The translucent pink allows inner mechanical parts to be seen. The shaft is rigid and cannot be bent. This toy is good for beginners or advanced users, it is very simple to use.

Design / Shape / Size

Kangaroo is 8" long with an insertable length of 5 1/4". The circumference measures 4" with a diameter of 1 1/4". This toy is very slim over all, the head is slightly larger and has a smiling head imprinted on one side. The clitoral portion is a kangaroo with a joey in its pouch and measures around 4". The kangaroo and joey's heads are the main points of contact for the clitoral region. This toy has a long clitoral attachment compared to most toys like this. The size seems good for beginners; Kangaroo is very user friendly.

Functions / Performance / Controls

This toy is moderately quiet, it sounds louder than a cell phone vibrating. The rotating shaft only rotates one way, but I don't think this is a negative quality. I do not usually change the direction of rotation with my newer more expensive vibes. The rotations do not slow down much during penetration which is nice. The kangaroo attachment causes powerful vibrations. The power is slightly decreased when the vibration and rotation is on, but it is not too noticeable. Overall the vibrations are not weak, just very buzzy. I prefer deeper rumbly vibrations.

Kangaroo has a control pack with two sliders that control the ciltoral portion's vibration and the shaft's rotation. The control pack makes it easy to switch settings during use. Sometimes if I am using a vibrator alone, I have to take it out and look for the control buttons to change my setting. The control pack is quite large, but it definitely helps during use. It uses 3 giant C batteries. I do wish this toy is rechargeable, but it would make it more expensive. I think the batteries are just a small detail, and it does not deter me from endorsing this toy's performance. The C batteries make the vibrator powerful, and keeps it affordable.

Care and Maintenance

Clean jelly toys with warm water and toy cleaner. Do not use strong soaps on them, and store jelly in a cool dark place. Alcohol can degrade the material. Jelly cannot be sterilized like silicone, it also cannot be boiled. The safest way to share this toy would be to cover it with a condom since it is a porous material.
Silicone and water based lubes are safe to use with this vibrator.

Packaging

Kangaroo arrived in a clear plastic Vibratex box. The toy, controller, and cord were all stuffed inside this small box so using it for storage is difficult. The plastic is flimsy as well, my packaging bent and cracked soon after I received it. I store my Kangaroo in a separate pouch away from other toys since it is porous.
