Ladybug, Ladybug, Find Your Way Home

If you enjoy spending around $40.00 for a heavy, sticky, stinky high-maintenance vibrator, then this is the toy for you. The features that should have been spectacular did not work as they should, but the little ladybug was a pleasant surprise. This was a big disappointment to me, but a great bonus to the lube and battery companies. Save your money and time for one of the other vibrators that actually do work as they promise.

Use

The Ladybug is primarily a woman's toy, but it is fun when it is used on you by your partner. It has a 10-function push-button control panel at the base, a soft and squishy tip, and beads that rotate about an inch down on the shaft. It does have a ladybug-shaped clitoral stimulator with antennas that help provide stimulus to the clitoral area.

The soft jelly material is sticky and can feel like it 'rips' you if it is not seriously lubricated. The vibrations were good and the variation excellent, but the only thing I got excited about was the ladybug feature.

Material / Texture

OUCH! The soft jelly material felt like it was tearing unless it had an abundance of lubrication. I was excited about the swirling beads, but they did not stimulate as much as I thought they would. I think the jelly material might mute the movements and vibrations. I liked the ridge that ran along the shaft, loved the vibration combinations, and was very happy with the well-lubed ladybug feature.

This toy is probably best for intermediate to advanced users due to the material and features. If I would have used this product as a beginner, I probably would not be here reviewing toys.

Design / Shape / Size

The shaft has a penile shape, complete with ridges and a head. The rotating beads about an inch down are not as noticeable as you would want them to be, but the ladybug feature is a pretty good clitoral stimulator. Just be sure you use plenty of water-based lubrication. The size of the shaft is comfortable and pretty close to an average-sized penis. The base is a bit heavy and can become slick from excess lubrication.

Unless you have a huge suitcase, leave this one at home! By the time you pack the AAA batteries, lubricant, and the vibrator, you have taken up a bit of space. It is also extremely noisy about half to three-quarters of the way through the vibration options.

Functions / Performance / Controls

Twist the base to open up the battery compartment and put in three AAA batteries. Replace the bottom. The vibration/speed controls are in two rows of five push buttons. They run up the plastic base about an inch and a half to two inches. There is very little vibration in the tip, and the rotating beads are not very stimulating, and the vibrations are about one-third of the way down the shaft. The ladybug does vibrate, and the little antennas move enough to stimulate the clitoris. Whether this will bring you to orgasm or not is up to your sensitivity. The Ladybug is VERY noisy about one-half to three-quarters of the way through the variation/speed controls. Make sure you buy your lubrication by the gallon, and if you are really unhappy with the toy, it WILL drown and die in water. In my opinion, there are plenty of other vibrators available that will stimulate you to orgasm that are also more cost-effective. When I think of the two weeks I used it versus the price, this was an expensive vibrator.
    • Lots of variety in function
    • Multiple settings
    • Not discreet at all

Care and Maintenance

You will need a toy cleaner that is jelly friendly. Scrub, scrub, and scrub some more. Only use water-based lubricant because oil leaves a residue and silicone will discolor and break down the jelly material. I have to store it separately in its own zip-lock bag (I threw the box away, or it would have lived in that). DO NOT store it with other toys. The odor will travel, and it can discolor lighter-colored items. Also, the Ladybug can get broken if stored with heavier toys.
    • Difficult to store
    • Hard to clean
    • High maintenance
Follow-up commentary
I can't come up with any personal plusses for this item. Remember, this is my personal experience the Ladybug might work out better for your build and preferences. One fact: it is noisy! This is not personal.
