When I originally found out I was going to be reviewing a vibrating pen, I giggled at the possible scenarios. There you are, writing a steamy love letter to your sweetheart and all of a sudden you find yourself overcome with lust thinking about each sexy little thing you want to do with her (or him, of course!), and need to take care of yourself. Luckily with Lina, your writing instrument is also an instrument of pleasure. Unfortunately, this was not how my experience with Lina came to be, but I still had fun with this toy.

The pen comes with a removable TPR silicone sleeve, which is covered with little nubs, almost like soft spikes, which felt great when using an up and down movement for clitoral and nipple stimulation, and also because they added a little bit more thickness for insertion. It's small, so it's easily portable and travel-friendly, and it comes with a cute little mesh drawstring bag (mine was purple!) and an extra set of batteries, which is definitely a plus.

There were a few things, however, that I thought could have been a little better about Lina. Because it is a pen and meant to be discreet, it doesn't have much girth. I'm certainly no size queen but I couldn't help but to wish for a little more in the width department. Also, Lina only has one speed, which I felt was pretty intense. I personally would have preferred some adjustability on the toy, or perhaps even a little bit gentler vibrations. Last of all, Lina is quite the loud girl! She's marketed as a discreet vibrator, and I assumed that meant the sound was also discreet, but such is not the case with Lina. If you are living in a building such as an apartment or dormitory, or any other living situation where you are afraid of someone hearing your toy, I would not recommend this one.

Overall, this is a pretty decent little toy that would be great to give to your favorite writer friend or as something carry-on safe for business trips. This product gets three stars from me for being a great idea with just an average execution.

Does it write at all? Or is it just a sex toy? Maybe I'm thinking a little James Bond but if it serves as both it would be awesome!
