Flirty plush magic ball - egg discontinued by Cal Exotics - review by Shellz31

I have a passion for bullets so when I saw the Flirty Plush 7 Function Magic Ball by California Exotics available on Edens site, I had to aqcuire it for my first free toy review.


The control is made from a firm purple plastic and features two buttons. One being an on/off and the other guides you through 7 different styles of buzzing. A small LED light flashes between red and green depending on the length of vibration. Each time the '7' button is pushed, it vibrates, pulsates or escalates to another variation.


1. When the on/off button is pushed, the LED shows up a solid green. This is a gentle steady vibration.
2. The second level has a solid red LED and is slightly more powerful and faster.
3. The third level still features a solid red light and is an even more powerful/faster vibration than the first two.
4. The fourth level flashes red as the bullet escalates to the highest intensity and then vibrates steadily. The LED turns green as the bullet pauses for a split second before repeating the pattern.
5. The fifth level LED flashes between red and green. This continues to pulsate low and high.
6. The sixth level is a faster version of the fifth.
7. The last level flashes red and green for three pulsations. Then holds a solid red LED for one long vibration.


I found that when I placed pressure on the ball, it made a deep rumble sound. This didn't cause it to slow or pause in vibration at all and still wasn't loud enough to be heard outside a closed door.


The EZ load battery compartment in the bottom is a neat fit to create a waterproof seal. This can make it a little tricky to open. It requires 2 AA batteries and happily accepts rechargeables.


A large bullet is surrounded by a reasonably thick ball of soft squishy TPE. Apart from the little raised hearts, the texture is smooth. TPE feels somewhat simular to jelly with some flexibility. The ball is attached to the control by 29.5 inches of wiring which gives you plenty of movement. A big plus for this toy is that its hypoallergenic, latex and phthalate free. This material is less porous than cyberskin but slightly more porous than silicone so shouldn't be shared with others unless a condom is used. For obvious reasons, this toy is not designed for anal play at all. I would say this toy is best suited to solo clitoral play or controlled by a partner to tease. I'd imagine it's a little on the big side to use during actual intercourse. The ball is 5.5" in circumference.


Only water based lubricants should come in contact with the Thermoplastic Elastomer substance. I didn't require lube while using this toy. TPE does tend to grab on dry skin so some may prefer to use a lubricant until the natural juices flow.


The Flirty Plush ball is waterproof so is very easily cleaned with either anti-bacterial soap or toy cleaner. I then allow it to air dry somewhere protected so it doesn't catch airborne lint.


If you require very full on vibrations, this may feel nice but may not be quite strong enough due to the bullet being housed in a reasonably dense layer of TPE.


The Magic ball arrives in a soft plastic box with an indented plastic insert. I highly recommend keeping the box for storing your new friend as he does tend to attract lint easily.


Although I did enjoy this toy and was able to orgasm with work, I personally prefer a tiny bullet which delivers a powerful buzz and isn't so smothering. I found the vibrations on this toy weren't direct enough to produce earth shattering orgasms. On my third test of this toy, it frustrated me. To be fair, I was looking for a straight to the point, no fuss powerful orgasm. I ended up reaching for my trusty tiny bullet to get it done.


Still, it is a unique bullet and worth trying. It will have a place in my toy collection to use at times when I have plenty of time to build up to the orgasm.

Because this was never a favorite and now I have so many other toys that I love, this one has taken a back seat and doesn't see much daylight. It's just too smothering for clitoral play and collects lint like crazy.
Perhaps one day it will come out for its turn again. But at this stage, I'm more interested in toys that I know can get the job done without spending so long building up.
