Micro Massage, Micro Miracle

The My Micro-Miracle Massager by California Exotics is like a teeny version of the Hitachi or Fairy Wand in every way--including the vibrations. While it is really quiet, and would work for those who are sensitive and like buzzy vibrations, it doesn't work for this power queen.

Pros
Super quiet, decent power.
Cons
Buzzy vibrations, head is too flexible, uncommon batteries, not totally waterproof.

Use

The My Micro-Miracle Massager (4M, for short) is meant for external stimulation of the clitoris, nipples, testicles, perineum, even the anus, or other erogenous zones that like to be teased and tickles with vibrations. It can also be used to make other non-vibrating toys vibrate. I think it would be small enough to use between two bodies during intercourse, too.

This isn't meant for insertion whatsoever, so don't insert it in any orifice, especially in your butt.

It claims to be waterproof, but may not entirely be due to a flimsy O-ring.

Material / Texture

The majority of the body of the 4M is ABS plastic covered in PU cote (or Velvet Cote), which is hard, but smooth. The massager tip is covered by a silicone cap with ridges going up the side. The ridges are felt during use, and they feel remarkably good against the clitoris, but is not so intense to irritate. The cap, when off the massager, is soft, squishy, and thin. When on the massager, the silicone cap is rigid like the plastic beneath it.

The silicone tip is smooth and matte. Both silicone and plastic covered in PU cote are nonporous, odorless, phthalate- and latex-free, hypoallergenic, and food-grade.

There are two seams running the sides of the toy, but you aren't going to feel them in use, because they aren't on the tip. Without the cap, there is a large seam on the plastic going around the toy. My 4M is developing a hairline crack off of this seam.
    • No odor
    • Not porous at all

Design / Shape / Size

It looks like a teeny version of the Hitachi or Fairy Wand. The entire thing is about 4 inches long, without the lanyard. I'm not entirely sure why this needs a lanyard, but it's nylon, and white. It measures 6 inches long--longer than the toy. It's not large enough to fit an entire hand through (unless you have very small hands), but I can fit four fingers in it.

The tip is an inch long and an inch wide, and as I indicated above, covered by a silicone cap. The neck of the 4M is very flexible. It bends incredibly easily, almost too easily. It bends almost to 90 degrees. I found that, in use, it bent too much and too easily, especially when trying to use the ridges for stimulation. I ended up having to hold the massager head in use.

With all six watch batteries in it (yes, you read that correctly, six watch batteries), it turns out to be rather hefty for something of this size. It's about 2 ounces, but it feels so much heavier in use. I expected it to be lighter.

It's small, and easily stashed away, but not really discreet. What would you use a massager this size for? Maybe for your face or hands, but I'm sure more sinister ideas would pop into others' heads before a face or hand massager. It's suitable for travel if you remove the batteries.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The 4M is fairly straightforward. Twist off the bottom cap (making sure not to lose the O-ring which may pop off), insert batteries, screw lid on tight, then rotate the bottom portion of the cap to turn on the vibrations. It's multi-speed, but there are no patterns. By my count, there's about 4 distinct vibrations speeds. As said before, it takes six watch batteries. The vibrations, while on the highest setting, are quite strong, but definitely not a powerhouse.

Vibrations are concentrated in the tip, and they are quite buzzy. My fingers were numb after a few minutes of using the toy, even without holding onto the tip. The vibrations are incredibly quiet, if of frequency that annoys. You cannot hear this through a door whatsoever, even if the vibrator is right next to the door and the person listening is on the other side.

The O-ring is flimsy. When I first opened up the battery compartment, it actually fell off. It doesn't fit right, it's too big. So, I wouldn't submerge it. When I washed it, I ran water over the area, and it didn't let water in, but I still sort of worry about it.

When inserting the batteries, you will notice a slip of paper that indicates the way to position all six batteries. Keep this slip of paper inside the battery compartment, or else you won't be able to keep the batteries going in the same direction.
    • Discreet sound
    • Easy to use
    • Not enough variety

Care and Maintenance

To clean, pop off the silicone cap, take off the nylon lanyard, and wash the body and cap with soap and hot water, or use a commercial toy cleaner. The ridges on the cap do collect junk, so wash thoroughly. The silicone cap can be sterilized by boiling for 3-5 minutes or put in the dishwasher without soap. Both the plastic and silicone parts can be wiped down with a 10% bleach solution or with rubbing alcohol for a deeper clean.

Storage is easy, as it doesn't collect lint and is fairly unobtrusive. It would be best to store it without the batteries, just to preserve the life of them since they're so uncommon.

Silicone is compatible with water- and oil-based lubricants. Don't use silicone-based lubes.

Packaging

The 4M comes in a very typical for California Exotics plastic case with a slide out tray. You can see the toy from the front, though there aren't any naked women. It comes with two sets of batteries (12 in total) and the lanyard already attached. It claims "High Intensity Power," waterproofness, the materials of the components (nylon, PU-coated ABS plastic, and silicone), and to use only water-based lubricants.

It's not good for storage, so just recycle it.

Personal comments

The 4M is not my cup of tea, but I can see how some would enjoy it. While it's super, super quiet, has semi-strong vibrations, and a neat idea, the vibrations are just too buzzy and the batteries are just too uncommon. This would be an infinitely better product if it took an AA battery instead.

Objectively, it's a 4 star toy. It's made okay and will hold up for some time. It's incredibly quiet, and has pretty good power for its size.
Subjectively, it gets 2 stars. The vibrations are buzzy, the head is too flexible, and the batteries are uncommon.

Very helpful review! Think I will pass based on the huge amount of batteries needed to run it...seems one would get a similar result with the baby fairy and not have to deal with batteries at all...

Thanks for mentioning the batteries. That's definitely a deal breaker for me.
