Lucid dream no. 84 - egg discontinued by Doc Johnson - review by Alicia

This toy, like most lucid dream products looks like a lot of fun. It's bright color and cute shape are interesting and enticing. The little nubs seemed like they'd add some great sensation when used, but unfortunately I couldn't really feel them when the toy is used. The jelly material also gives off a rubbery smell; while it's not entirely unpleasant I prefer toys that don't give off a smell at all.

The vibrations on this toy are moderate but they're definitely not as powerful as I would like. I personally like a very strong knock your socks off vibration and this toy fails to deliver that. For someone who prefers a gentler touch this vibe might do the trick.

The second issue with this toy is the size. The top of the bullet is pretty wide and it's a bit too big to be used for clitoral stimulation as it spreads the vibrations over too large of an area. Couple that with the lacking oomph of the vibration it wasn't enough to get me to climax. The larger shape seems like it would do well inserted vaginally, but due to the material being a jelly substance and not being phthalate-free I was hesitant to do so as I don't like to use condoms over my toys.

What I did like it for was for partner sex after having already had an orgasm. Once you've already climaxed and your clit is more sensitive the vibrations do a fairly good job of "waking" the area back up. If you combine that with the already enjoyable sensation of partner sex this can be a great addition. The jelly does allow it a bit of give too, so it doesn't feel too much pressure when sandwiched between two bodies although the size of the toy can also be hindering for that unless you position yourself properly.

This toy lasted a few months before it started to shut itself off during use. The vibrations also were not as strong after about a month of occasional usage, even with fresh batteries. It wasn't the quickest dying bullet I've had, but it still did not have very long of a life. When you put together the safety concerns of the material, the mediocre vibrations and the fact that it did not last very long I wouldn't purchase this toy again and there are other bullets out there for a comparable price that offer more power and more durability.
