Petals is a great vibrating toy for solo play. The strong Vibes make up for the petals lacking power. Don't let the small size fool you, it is more powerful than you would think!

The box Petals came in had a picture of the toy in "actual size" it isn't that accurate. The toy is actually a little bit smaller than pictured. When you take it out of the box it is in a plastic shell that just pops apart. There is no storage bag or anything for this toy. You can keep it in the box, but the box is pretty big for how small the toy is. There is one little paper in the box explaining how to put the batteries in. It isn't useful at all. It shows three different pictures of batteries going into toys. It is a generic guide not just meant for Petals, and the pictures show more than one battery being used.

The toy itself is smooth, but smaller than I imagined. The length of the toy from end to end is just about the same size as my blackberry phone. The tip of the vibrator is a bit larger, and has nubbies all around. The petals start right at the beginning of the vibrator, and immediately start to go out. It has no seams in the material, so no extra hard spots that will hurt if you apply too much pressure on your body.


It takes 1-AAA battery, and the battery cap is at the beginning of the petals. It's hard to twist the battery cap off because of the toy being small, and there isn't really any place to hold on to get a good grip on the cap. On top of the cap is a push button. The first click turns it to a steady low (but really powerful) vibe, the second click is a faster steady vibe, and the third turns it off. There is no locking mechanism on the on/off button. If you keep the batteries out and get something to carry it in, it would be a great travel toy. It's small enough to keep tucked away in a make-up bag.

I absolutely love this toy, but the petals to me are just in the way and useless. The vibration is centered in the tip of the vibrator, and it is extremely powerful. The little nubbies on the end feel amazing, and yes you can actually feel them. The petals don't have a lot going on. Since the vibration is centered at the tip, by the time it gets to the petals the feeling is pretty weak even on the stronger vibe. The petals make the vibrator hard to hold. The only way to firmly hold onto it is at the base of the petals, which makes your hand cover the end sometimes hitting the on/off button. The noise is minimal, just a little high pitched buzz.

Petals material is TPR, it's soft and flexible. It's safe to use with silicone and water based lubes. To keep it clean just wash it with water and mild soap. The nubbies are easy to clean; they are far enough apart and large enough that they don't have any small crevices that need special attention.

This toy is more for solo play. The petals are too much in the way for your partner to play with you at the same time. If it is inserted anally or vaginally you can't have intercourse because of the petals being in the way. If your clit is super sensitive you may get more stimulation from the petals. It also works as a good massager. It's very powerful and with pressure, feels really good on the skin. I just think Petals is the wrong name for this one. If you buy this thinking the petals are an amazing idea, you'd probably be disappointed. You should buy it because you want an awesome vibrator, that is more compact, and has nubbies that give you more feeling than a traditional vibrator.

I give this toy a 4 out of 5. It is an amazing little vibrator, that exceeded my expectations. The petals just don't really do anything so I had to give it a 4.

I wish there was an option for "I like it a little bit less than before" lol. Unfortunately this toy has become a pain to keep clean. It is a lint magnet, and I found a satin drawstring bag from something else to store it in, but it didn't help. I always air dry and it still collects lint like crazy!

I have also noticed now that with harder play the battery rattles quite a bit making it more noisy at times. If your battery is wearing down it really puts a damper in the experience. I always turn the vibe on before play to make sure it has full power. With this one it will be at full power, but when you start to play rough with it, immediately the vibe goes from super strong to barely there. That can be really annoying. If I'm trying to get off using this, I will put a brand new battery in it before use so I don't run into that problem again!
